Diggin in the Sneaker Crates: Diesel Don’t Make Running Sneakers

(wow, really?)

This actually happened… it was over 5 years ago but it still happened. Deal with it.

As seen first on Ad Rant

Sneakers and Shoes reopens in November 2015

After multiple restarts and stops the blog and magazine will restart officially by the end of the month. The most opinionated foot loving random post having innovative blog site is back.

The Return of Sneakers And Shoes

Its been a long time. In fact a few years. I had many a plan to get back into blogging but they all fell away due to life and admittedly lack of interest.

Welp, my interest is back. Its just about to be a forest fire but I wouldn’t go that far.

there are many blogs out there on footwear and quite frankly I get most of my fill from going to those sites. with sites like SneakerNews and Nicekicks as well as others, and a few more fashion focused sites, its like why start blogging again?

I think for me its just that i Like the design of footwear. I’m not a sneaker historian. I barely know sneaker knowledge like other site owners although I have to admit once I start posting again, I probably will learn it from writing and researching articles.

What I do have is imagination, ideas, and a love of design that also has to function. Sneakers have to work as footwear. I like seeing how many different ways you can do the same thing… and then voicing my opinion on it.

This, voicing my opinion, is probably what really sets my blog apart from others. I really go in. I will admit I’m a total coach quarterback but that don’t stop me from saying I like or don’t like something.

Showcasing new ideas, new companies, art work, options, taking a look at high fashion footwear and womens shoes? This is what makes my blog unique. Starting this Monday I start posting again… slowly. Probably 1 post in 3 days.

But once I get into it again… expect 4-6 posts a day and the main website/magazine being updated once a week.

A labor of love… should be fun.

Random Craziness – Sneakers with Sound System

(this is just crazy… tell me this not real)

Don’t have much to say here. This just can’t be a real sneaker. It. Just. Can’t.

Jezign Night Eagle in White… still available on the Jezign website

(and at 49.99, why not give it a shot?)

I don’t have a review yet of the Jezign kicks, but from what I have done with them so far they seem pretty alright. Haven’t walked any distance with them yet (the area where the battery is stored is somewhat a problem because it rubs up against your foot), but I will have a review of them in a month.

But I have the Bubble Cloud, not the Night Eagle. Now sure at all how the Night Eagle will perform on the court. I still think these are more about fashion and fun then playing hard on the court, but hey, fun is fun right?

The price is so low, maybe I will get the them. One thing is for sure, for those who are collectors of sneaker culture, you may want to get a pair especially since it won’t hurt your wallet very much.

Purchase them RIGHT HERE on JezignShop.

Stuff White People Like says – White People LOVES New balance Sneakers lol

So on this site that I occasionally browse every day or so says, tongue in cheek of course, that white people love New Balance sneakers.

Now, of course you can’t go up to a white person and talk to them about their sneakers. Ohhh noooo. The footwear wear world of white people are fo fickle. Uggs, Birkenstocks, Earth Shoes… Uggs, (did I mention that already? lol) come and go, but New Balance running shoes??? Always hot. Here is a quote from the blog (this blog has been one of to p 10 blogs) Stuff White People Like:

There is, however, one exception: New Balance running shoes. All white people own a pair! Seriously, next time you are at a casual party where guests are encouraged to take off their shoes take a look by the door at the veritable rainbow of New Balance sneakers.

But why do white people love them so uniformly? It is pretty simple really. A few years ago it came out that Nike (and other manufacturers) were producing their shoes in Asian sweatshops and then selling them for a very high profit margin. White people were outraged, they generally prefer that children in developing nations first finish high school before working in shoe-producing sweatshops. Otherwise they might look foolish when their co-workers are talking about Catcher in the Rye.

If this site wasn’t so funny and almost obviously poking fun at racism, I don’t think it would be so popular or hilarious. So stuff like #94 Free Healthcare and #84 T-Shirts are think you need to know if you want to be in the world of upper class white people. Here is a list of my favorites:

Good lawd, fun times. Stuff White people Like is a very funny site and I can only hope and pray it is being done in comedy because stuff like this can not be for real LMAO.

In Sneaker News: The Walking Bike – On

The Walking Bike // Current

The Walking Bike

Sooooooo… does anybody recognize the sneakers and shoes currently posing as wheels on this bike? Good because I don’t! I only see 2 I recognize and the rest are drawing a blank.I do, at least, know the sneaker brands represented… well except for that white and red sneaker at the top of the front “wheel” and the gray sneaker.

If you can name them, the post it in the comments, I’ll edit the post to recognize your supremeness and sneaker savvy. If your wondering where my sneaker savvy is, well I’m new to this game! lol

The original link is here: New

And now the video (this thing actually works??? LMAO)

I wouldn’t ride the thing to work, but it would seem a great way to get some excirsize. Then again, you could run in one pair of sneakers.

By the way, has anybody noticed that he picked some of the coolest sneakers to become a wheel? Is that an adidas Y-3? And those Air Force One low with the green gum is fresh! I must have missed it when those came out. Here is a closer look at the front wheel: (more…)

In Sneaker News: Nike Strike Ends But There Is Violence

Nike strike ends in Vietnam, contract factory remains closed after worker brawl – Yahoo! Malaysia News

Monty Python Rabbit with Pointy Teeth Slippers

Can the title be more misleading? Well as the story goes the workers at a Nike factory went on strike for about 2 days. The strike ended but as the workers wre on their way back to work, there was a fight.

About 17,000 of the Ching Luh plant’s 21,000 employees reported to work Wednesday morning after the labor union and management of the Taiwanese-owned plant reached an agreement to increase monthly wages by 100,000 dong (US$6) amid record-high inflation, said Pham Thi Lap, head of the labor union of southern Long An province in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta, where the plant is located.

But after a brawl broke out following a spat between a former worker and a security guard, police were called in and the plant was closed, Lap said. No one was seriously injured, but several workers were beaten during the melee, she added.

I found somewhere how much it costs for Nike to make its sneakers and it seemed legit. It was something like 10 dollars a shoe. If I find a link or a video about it, I’ll post it here. The workers and their union managed to get a raise and now get 65 dollars an hour week month. I don’t know how much 65 dollars a month goes in Vietnam but in NYC it would get you 2 slices of pizza and a drink. Damn sure wont get you a 184.99 pair of Jordans. But they do get free lunches according to the article (and according to the workers the lunches before the deal sucked lol).

Sneaker Fiends Are Leaders: Always buying sneakers is the sign of a leader

Simpsons x Vans All Fourteen Shoes

Always buying sneakers? It’s the sign of a leader: poll

Levix x Air Jordan

Its true ladies and gentlemen. I AM PROOF OF IT!!! lol Well, anyway, while I was going the news of the day, I came across this gem! It would seem that people who buy more than 3 sneaker a year are 61% more likely to be a leader (or the qualities of a modern leader). Not 3% or 20%. 61% of the people who love footwear and tend to get it at or more than 3 times a year are natural born killers leaders! We are also more likely to be assertive (I’m not too assertive) and 47% percent likely to be spontaneous (I’m not that spontaneous… I’m a little bit like that).

Here’s a quote from the news article:

“It is often said you can tell a lot about a person by the shoes they wear, and now we have some hard data to back that up,” Arvonio told Reuters.

“What is interesting is that these personality traits held true across the board, regardless of age, income, or gender.”

The news article also goes into what type of person buys hybrid cars and people who pay their credit card bills on time. That stuff is TOTALLY UNRELATED TO SNEAKERS OR SHOES but it is interesting.

Nike Air Force 1 LUX

Dude… what’s going on with

Does anybody know what’s going on with Sneakerfiles? They have been down for a while now. I think when they come back up someone should hint to them to move their blog to

I mean seriously… where am I going to get my sneaker fix? I only really go to Sneakerfiles and Nicekicks… its like driving a car with 2 wheels missing.
