On Sale: Cole Haan Zoom Flywire at Zappos

Cole Haan Zoom Flywire

(flywire on a NON-Nike sneaker? what the…)

Cole Haan Zoom Flywire - CLOSE UP

(close-up of sneakers and yes you can almost see-through it)

Here we go again! Cole Haan has another shoe (amongst many apparently) that have Nike technology in them. I think this is one of a couple of pushes to get what is used in sneakers to be put in shoes (Rockport at one time used Reebok DMX technology). Can you imagine using comfort technology that is usually put into performance sneakers and put them into casual shoes and high heels?

Finally.

Cipher Does Sneaker Freaker… and what a spread

Cipher LookBook on Sneaker Freaker

(I have to say this is really nice)

Check out the lookbook (I guess you can call it a lookbook) and read the interview that Sneaker Freaker had with  Cipher. Here is a clip:

Sneaker Freaker: Hey Collin, you restarted Cipher last year, how did the year work for you?

Cipher:
It was a shaky start, got rough through the middle, but I’m happy to say it closed out well. I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished and how we’ve grown as people and as a company. We’re planning some really creative projects and products for 2009.

Sneaker Freaker: Your brand Cipher has been around since 2003.

Cipher:
I’ve been bugging Woody for years now, I remember when we were discussing SF8 and getting Cipher in there, but we were really small then! Well it really started after I finished film school, I really loved Wong Kar Wai films, and always wanted to come out to Hong Kong, so I did, and I just kind of fell into this. It was a little difficult for me to imagine ever directing or producing a feature length film, as I wanted to do something more immediate and still creative. My brother had a tee and hoodie thing going on, and I wanted to get in on it but do something different. I noticed a lot of skate kids with the most busted sneakers so I was like, ‘I’ll design some sneakers.’

If this is what they are going to make, I think Cipher has some promise for the future. These sneakers look good and are colored very nice. Definaitly a sneaker you should want to collect. As seen on Sneaker Freaker.

Just diggin in the sneaker crates… originally published on Sneaker Freaker in May  of 2009

The Feet You Wear… no seriously, it actually looks like feet

Vibram FiveFingers KSO

(why didn’t anybody else think of this? LMAO)

Now this is just crazy! Nothing like adidas “foot you wear” system (of which I also like) and it has some details that just make the sneaker (?) even more interesting:

When you’re scrambling up a rocky bluff or bounding along a riverbank, the last thing you want is gravel and grit seeping into your FiveFingers. The KSO is an all-new design with thin, abrasion-resistant stretch polyamide and breathable stretch mesh that wraps your entire forefoot to “Keep Stuff Out.” A single hook-and-loop closure helps secure the fit. Non-marking Vibram TC1 performance rubber soles are razor-siped for a sure grip.

KSO IS BEST FOR: Light Trekking, Climbing, Canyoneering, Running, Fitness Training, Martial Arts, Yoga, Pilates, Sailing, Boating, Kayaking, Canoeing, Surfing, Flats Fishing, Travel

Materials:
UPPER – abrasion-resistant stretch polyamide fabric & Hypalon® straps
SOLE- Vibram TC-1 performance rubber
FOOTBED- Antimicrobial microfiber

*Machine washable. Air dry.

Info from Action Sports. More info on sizing here.

And it just doesn’t stop there.

Air Jordan Fusion 13 Now In Black and White… and still a hot mess

Air Jordan Fusion 13 white and black

(changing the colors helps a little… but not enough)

I am just not going to put the energy into commenting on this freakin mess of a fusion. I like the fusions and the hybrids, but this… take a look at what people are saying on sneakernews, KicksonFire, The Shoe Game, Sneakerfiles AND Nicekicks:

freshest 13 year old around

i like all da fusions dat came out but even i dnt like dez but i think dey will grow on me like da fusion 9s

Are there positive opinions of this sneaker? Sure

Anthrax Zygote

These are HOT S***! I don’t get all the fusion haters, if you don’t like them don’t buy them. I think these are probably the best looking fusions so far! And haters be damned cuz I’m most definitely picking these up.

Nevertheless, as far as this fusion is concerned, I give up. If is sells well, I can’t wait to see what people have to say… if it don’t… I can’t wait to see what people have to say. Personally, I will take a look at them in real life, but I refuse to ACTUALLY touch them with my hands LMAO

I will say one thing though, at least people are talking about it. Most of the time when it comes to sneaker or shoes if no one comments on them then its a total flop and no one care. Obviously people care and we will see if it is a flop when it get sold.

adidas SLVR Collection is pretty interesting

adidas SLVR Collection for women

(do you think you can work this look?)

This is an interesting looking sneaker/shoe/high heel for the ladies. Its sort of a big mix of all 3 and I am not sure if it does it well (probably need to see it in person), but it sure is a looker and you WILL get attention to your feet wearing them; no question. I think the lady wearing these will do well to get something to match for sure. This is one high heeled sneaker that DEMANDS you to dress for them and not the otherway around.

Here is a quote from Sneaker Freaker about this sneaker and the collection:

Launched early this year with a tagline boast of being ‘Simply Perfect’, this new range from adidas is a cocky start to a whole new ballgame. Whilst SLVR appears to be a high fashion concept, adidas PR describes it as ‘affordable, attainable and ultimately wearable’ which, given prices for the footwear are all under €130, seems fair enough. Perhaps the most interesting SLVR footwear innovation is what the shoes don’t have. Like the deadpan Stan Smiths of yesteryear, the range has no adidas branding, no trefoil and zero stripes. The only indication of a maker’s mark are three horizontal bars. There’s also tote bags, socks and a line of classically basic clothing that
has a slight sport tinge to it, and even SLVR flip flops.

Tote bags, flip flops, low cost aka affordable (well lower cost than high end 200+ dollar sneakers) and only those in the know will actually know your footwear is from adidas.

adidas Vulcanized Boot (KAZUKI OBYO COLLECTION) is like wow dude!!!!

Adidas Vulcanized Boot kazuki Obyo Collection

(but are these really boots??? lol)

Here is the quote from Sneaker Freaker about this sneaker:

We’ve shown you the adidas x Jeremy Scott ObyO (Originals by Originals) collection, now it’s time to hit you with the 2nd installment, designed by Tokyo’s fashion darling Kazuki. Having worked closely with Japanese labels BAPE, Fragment Design, Neighborhood and Visvim in the past, Kazuki brings his flair for tailored fashion to the casual market with his inspiring collection for adidas. For more information on the collection, hit up the mini site at Hanon Shop.

So basically this is one hot looking boot and/or sneaker. adidas is a sneaker company I love, but for whatever reason they don’t seem to do to well in the casual area of footwear. Coming up with this makes me think that they are making a comeback to the shell top adidas days of the 1980′s.

Maybe some of these sneaker companies should team up with designers more often to come up with something that the streets will actually love.

Supra Says Your baby Needs To Get Their Kick Game Up: Supra Baby Skytops

Supra Baby Skytops

(the babies keep getting the freshest gear)

(and yes they can even get high heels lol)

Supra’s done it! Now you and your whole family can have the same kicks. Sure you could have done that before, but now you can be trendy and in the know while most of the public may not even know what a Supra is… but you know and your fellow SneakerHead do too.

Fergalisious… A Footwear Line for Fergie… why? just because

Fergalicious

(holy crap how did I miss this?)

Somewhere and somehow Fergie of Black Eye peas came out with a shoe line???? She got sneaker, shoes and what looks like flip-flops. Will celebrities and fashion lines ever stop? probably not. I am sure this news came out a minute ago but I have been mostly focused on sneakers for a minute now. But still, I am not really sure how this one slipped through my fingers.

FergaliciousShoes

(it just gets more interesting…)

She seems to have some very interesting shoes for sale. I can’t knock it cause they are attractive and THEY ARE NOT TOO EXPENSIVE. Many shoes are priced in the 99.99 range. A good look for those who want fashion but don’t have 300+ dollars for womens shoes (and guys complaining about Kayne West LV kicks? lol)

The Gourmet L’Otto Looks Very Good

GOURMET L'OTTO

(now this is one smoooo000OOOth)

This is the very same sneaker company who made sneakers that looked oddly like Jordans (an obvious copy but I think they did it in fair taste and wasn’t trying to hide it – like other companies I could mention). But these sneakers (even with the air bag look) have an original look to it that I think many people can appreciate.

Gourmet Lotto 2

(it just gets smoother! a must buy for the grown and sexy)

Its defiantly for those who want a classic look with a touch of today’s technology. The sneaker comes in 2 colorways and you can bet that the other colorway is just as hot as this one is. You can see more about it on Sneaker Freaker.com

As The Rips Turn: Shape Ups Shoes From Skechers – Fitness Footwear

I swear they say “buttocks” like 10+ times

Women's Shape Ups - Jump Start From Skechers

(and the video is a must watch… BUTTOCKS!!!)

Skechers has a new fitness sneaker that looks allot like MBT walking shoes (that cost more). So far I ave not seen anything that says that Skechers has bought a license to use the technology or that they created it on their own so I have to say that Skechers is continuing to do the rip jobs that they are more and more seem to be known for (remember those kicks that are for young girls that look strangely like Pastry sneakers? hmmmm…)

I don’t mind copying as it is sort of a way of saying someone is doing a good job and it so good that I want to copy it, but how many times are you going to do it?

I will be going further into this and may even get someone to help right up a review on which one is better… but in the mean time, you have to watch the video on the sneaker that Skechers made:

Air Jordan Space Jam + Black Friday + QuickStrike = HypeBeasts

SPACE JAM - AJ 11

(why a quickstrike??? WHY?????)

I have NO IDEA why Brand Jordan and Nike has decided to make the Space Jam Air Jordan 11 a quickstrike (as some have reported) and I am not sure if it is a good idea or a bad one. It makes the release more coveted that’s for sure, but at the same time what will happen is that people who are just in it for the money will buy up the sneakers and then sell them online for some crazy profit. I don’t mind them making a few couple hundred off a pair, but several hundred to a thousand? No.

…And Speaking Of Fake Looking Sneakers: Air Jordan Force XIII – Holiday 2009 Release

Air Jordan Force XIII (AJF 13) Holiday 2009 Release

(I refuse to post the whole sneaker)

This has got to be the most OUTRAGEOUS release for the fusion family I have ever witnessed in my years of life. The mere posting of this picture on Sneakernews.com has blown up a usually quite  comment section. As of this moment its 98 posts…  And I am sure as this gets posted on many other sneaker blogs it will get  WAY crazier than what’s going on and Senakernews.

At any rate, if I could somehow tell Brand Jordan what to do next, I would most definaitly tell them NOT TO DO THIS. This needs… no, DEMANDS a redesign. Please someone tell them to make that change and look at the man in the mirror (should out to Micheal Jackson).

Nike Air Jordan Fushion 13 AF1

(look familiar???? they even spelled “fusion” wrong!!!)

(what the hell is a “fushion”???)

I have seen those sneakers up there on many fake sneaker sites for quite a while. Are fake sneaker sites telling us something that we should know? Future releases being sneaked out through fake makers? Unbelievable…. This is most certainly on my SAVE-A-SNEAKER list and I don’t think a new colorway will save them either. Total life support for this fusions.

The only positive comment… and its not that positive, its more of a “live with it” and move on type post. Drama…

Nicekicks has a post on these too315 comments is most certainly MORE than the usualy 30-50 comments they get over there. I can only imagine that they are… very strongly worded… lol

UnderArmour Make Its Way To Basketball

Under Armour Young Money Brandon Jennings BB

(will the be the beginning of a new player on the court)

Under Aurmor is trying its luck in the basketball area. Now you know Nike dominated the basketball areana, but the biggest thing UA got going for it is that its for the “true atheletes” who really want to perform. In other words if you got UA on, you are really into staying in shape (and by the way, don’t mess with me because I wil beat the crap out of you… yeah, I am THAT healthy)

The question I have is that will that same strategy work on the court? I like the way it looks, and I don’t have many questions about performance because…. well, its Under Armour, of course it performs lol… but I think AU needs to brng better game if its wants to break into the basketball area. This looks is cool, but I think they need a knock out looks that performs. This aint it, but I don’t doubt that they will come up with something that is just straight heat.

Old Bo Knows VS New Bo Knows

Nike Air Trainer SC Black/Grey Holiday 09

(^^^ one cool looking old school Air Trainer ^^^)

Nike Trainer SC 2010

(^^^ one cool looking update on a classic ^^^)

The new version looks very nice. Not too sure about the air bag at the end but you can’t get everything you want. Overall it is very well done. Don’t know the tech behind the new sneaker other than it is using Fly-Wire technology and it has air. The patent leather add-on makes it sound like this is more for play than for training but I am sure that won’t stop people who want to look great while working out from wearing them.

Lo-Tops Get Some Play for Hyperdunks for Spring 2010

Low-top Hyperdunks for Spring 2010

(hmmmmm… as seen on sneakernews.com)

I am guessing its not just Kobe who are asking Nike to make some professional lo-top basketball sneakers for serious players. I am guessing this because I would have never imagined the Hyperdunk being a lowtop (even though the Kobe IV seems to be some veriation of the Hyperdunk anyway).

One question though, should the colorway that is so exclusive such as the McFly hyperdunk be sold to the general population as a low top?

Air Jordan 5 Pack “Toro Bravo” Is FANTASTIC

Air Jordan 5 Pack “Toro Bravo”

(I just got them today!!!)

I wasn’t sure if these would be worth it. $330 bucks and bought from Finishline I really was thinking that I should have put this money to something else. Plenty of things come to mind as to where it could have gone including making sure I can get those AJ Spacejams and a pair of Supra’s (and  maybe a pair of those Converse x UNDFTD Poorman sneakers) but alas, I think I made the right decision.

Don’t have a clue as to when I will wear them… or where, but I have them and love them. One of these days I will take pictures of them and post them.

Yeezy Wants His Own Sneakerline???

Nike x KanyeWest Air Yeezy back in Feb 2008

(I remember at first I thought this was a bad idea)

(YES I WAS WRONG LMAO)

Whaaaaaattttt????

“I wish Nike would give me a deal, I wish Louis would give me a deal. Since that hasn’t happened yet, I am in the process of making my own company from scratch to put out to my people.”

I have to see this. As for not giving Kayne a shot for his own line, that was probably a bad move for Nike who usually makes good moves, but I guess time will tell.

Air Jordan 16.5 is Growing On Me

Air Jordan 16.5

(I wasn’t too sure at first… still not sure… but its growing on me)

While this isn’t one of the better colorways that have been shown, the 16.5, at first a disappointment, has now grown on me a little. I am not saying yet that these are one of the must haves for me to get, but they look alright. Maybe I need to get a personal view of these.

Lets hope for better colorways.

A Porsche Sneaker From adidas??? P5510 Porsche Design Bounce S

First Look as seen on DaLeak: Porsche Sneaker

(first seen on DaLeak.com)

(all I can say is that it looks REALLY good)

(would you cop these joints?)

(wouldn’t be the first time adidas linked up with Porsche)

(I wonder if Seinfeld would get these since he loves 911 so much?)

Quote from website Porsche-Design:

Developed and designed exclusively for the adidas Porsche Design Sport range, the Bounce:S is a whole new cushioning experience. Using a system of metallic springs, it increases energy return and gives you a more efficient ride. Take it for a run and tap into a new level of energy and handling. Like the suspension of a sports car, Bounce:S hugs the pavement, enhancing your feel of the road. When the lever arms are in action, they transfer the vertical impact of your stride into forward propulsion. Whereas traditional shoes drain your energy with thick, dense foam, the Bounce:S suspension system returns more of your energy for a smooth, stable ride.
