If you know I’ll do a story on Flickr photos on sneakers, then you should know I’ll do a story on Flickr photos on shoes aka rims aka Wheels of Fortune.

There are 296 Members and about 1,160 photos in this group. It doesn’t have a total focus on car rims, but it a nice mixture of all types of wheels. Its a very nice take on whatever is round.

Here is what the group is about:

For wheels like Car wheels, truck wheels, tractor wheels, forklift wheels, train wheels, toy wheels, bicycle wheels, ferris wheels, motorcycle wheels, antique, rubber, steel, metal, stone, plastic, dolly wheels. Steering wheels accepted too.

Only wheels-not things that could be wheels and ABSOLUTELY NO gambling/casino wheels

If you want some wheels from whips, check out Photomechanica from the group. If that is not good enough, check out MR38 and for some stuff too. robert lz is good for some shots as well. Toni Carcole did this one:

What Is Davin Doing These Days?

As car rims go, Davin is a premiere wheel dealer. They make the most detailed and highly specific car rims out there. You can easily say that they are collectible (especially the first ones). So what are they doing now?

Wire Sceptre KO Well Lace… WOW

Wire Sceptre KO Well Lace

While digging up where I can find more interesting car shoes to post, I came across this site. Its called Dayton Wire Wheels. I’mvery impressed. Plus, they been in business for 90 years! That is a long time for making car rims.

Take a look at this: (more…)

This is the car that is taking over the internet… in maps that is. Why is this on Sneakers and Shoes? Cause its just interesting. The pictures it takes of stuff is interesting. Capturing people and neighborhoods in a moment in time is interesting…

And did you see the shoes on the car? This isn’t a stock beetle.

Just when you thought shoes couldn’t get any different, now its time for lights… and I mean lights. Now if this is actually allowable by law where you drive is a good question, but for those who are most likely to buy this,, they probably don’t care too much.

No info on who made these rims except it was at the autoshow in NYC. I must have missed them.

And it doesn’t stop there…. (more…)

First of what I hope will be a huge pattern. Wallpapers, desktop objects and useful widgets is what I plan on bringing to you guys. There are many wallpapers on the Twenty Inches Strong website including this one (1024×768). They have other sizes, just go to the site to get them.

Here are some more examples of what I wanna do: (more…)

Official Twenty Inches Strong Wheels HERE!

The new T.I.S. 11′s looking sweet. I don’t know what car it would look good with just yet, but it still looks good. Check out the other ‘colors’ of the set.

Maybe it would work with a Maserati? Since the shoes look like spider webs and the Quaddropotte… I’ll spell check that later… is part of some sort of contest at McDonalds or something with Spider-Man… well, I remember the car part. All black. Sweet!

Anybody here into whitewalls? I am liking the Whitewall allot. Imagine this… a Mercedes Benz CLS AMG55 with 22 TIS rims and 2 inch profile whitewalls… I actually put this together in my favorite game Midnight Club DUB Edition Remix.

Can’t take a shot of it now from the tv screen, but I will. It looks soo hot. It is amazing what a good pair of shoes can do to a car or truck.

» Tyre Rings: Get a Grip

I think I will get me a ring or 2. This is soooo right up my alley. Trying to start a website about sneakers and shoes (for cars… get it? shoes?)… trying to figure out how I’m going to go about doing this thing (never thought I be using WordPress.com as I figured I would be hosting the site on my own server)… work life and other responsibilities taking me away from, what the makers of the ring called ‘my passion’.

With increasingly busy lifestyles and responsibilities that can consume you it is important not to lose your identity. Get yourself a reminder that you have a passion.

How did he know that? LOL

Thanks to SlamXHype for originally posting the link.

BBS releases LM-R for BMW, Porsche, Lexus – Autoblog

BBS releases LM-R for BMW, Porsche, Lexus – Autoblog

AutoBlog takes a look at BBS newest wheel rim design. It looks ok. The detail image of the new patented “I Beam” thing seem cool too. They also offer up a new way to forge a rim. Now I know I read on one of my magazines about how many different types of rim forging there is and what does what… now I have to find it. It was very straight to the point and they had some nice images of some cool rims.

There wasn’t overall joy for this rim in the comments. I did find out that BBS filed for bankruptcy. Seems to be some sort of trend going on here. Could the aftermarket be falling apart? Nooooooo I just got into it!

Ehhhh, maybe just bad timing for the businesses.

Working On Some Direction

As you can see I’m just starting this blog on the footwear, car culture and fashion. I don’t see many people taking on the relationship between the 3 so I figured I would give it a shot. Maybe someone else will take it on too.

Currently in the blogging world, the thing to do is to hyper-focus on a particular topic and then expand… I guess you can say it works that way in allot of other aspects of life too.

NEVER-THE-LESS… (more…)

Sooooo… what is this about anyway?

This is one fly sneaker design… too bad its not real.

Welcome to Sneakers and Shoes. The car and fashion blog. Get it? Sneakers and Shoes as in car shoes? Shoes for your feet and shoes for your car… well, at least I get the relationship and I say its cool.

I will be mainly posting on footwear and clothes, but there will be a few posts on cars, trucks and SUVs (and what what ever they are calling the crossovers now). I guess a few meaning 30 to 40 percent can be stuff about vehicles… Well, you’ll see.

The blog won’t be in full swing until Wednesday of next week, but I’m going to make a couple of posts here and there for the blog while I set up a couple of things.

Well… welcome to Sneakers and Shoes. And be sure to visit Kicks Guide.com. The picture above is from a 2004 contest in February. I love the colors (called the colorway in sneaker corners) .
