Reebok Hex Ride Rally Is The new Running Shoe

Reebok Hex Ride Rally on Eastbay

The Eastbay Presentation Page for the Reebok Hex Ride Rally

With everybody putting out retros of stuff that came out years ago and limiting what new, here we have something new. Using the Hex (hexalite I presume) to keep the sneakers light and for structure. Here’s the description from Eastbay:

The Reebok Hex Ride Rally running shoe features a mesh and synthetic upper with PU casting that adds shape, breathability and support. Removable sockliner accommodates orthotics. Hex Ride tech provides lightweight, airspring cushioning. Lightweight TPU shank offers smooth heel-to-toe transition. High abrasion rubber outsole gives durability. Wt. 12.5 oz.

I do wonder how this will hold up on the streets of NYC. If i step on something will I blow a hex? Well, if Nike can prove me wrong with the Air Max 360, I guess i should give these a chance too.

The price for these sneakers is $84.99. They look pretty good (at least the midsole and sole) although I do wonder if there is anything reflective on this sneaker in case you are running at dusk just when the sun goes down. They don’t have all sizes available but they do become available on 3/31/08. Not sure why some sizes are available on Eastbay while others aren’t… go figure.

Nike Air Max 95 Premium Reflective Crocodile Edition

Nike Air Max 95 Premium Reflective Crocodile Edition 313071-002

Air Max 95 Premium Anthracite Flint Grey Stealth

Price: 134.99

Sizes 8-15

This is one of the hottest sneakers in NYC right now. For a sneaker that doesn’t seem to be in many sneaker stores, I have seen it at least 4 times since it came out. You can also get them here if you want to check it out.

Sneakerfiles.com did a story on them last month. If you want to see a really big picture of the reflective croc style, then go there. Its also on FightClub (as well as some other very interesting things).

Now there is only one SLIGHT problem… the croc styling is different depending where on the net you are looking. This could mean that you can find yourself with a fake…. maybe. Trust the site you buy from. (BTW, the sites I posted are sites that I see allot from main stream sneaker websites… but I never bought anything from them as of yet so I don’t know from experience)

Anyway… here are other sneakers that are going REFLECTIVE

OH and for those who collect: this is a buy. 6 on the collectors buy scale to be exact. I can’t be mad at someone if I see them running in them though… they are Air Max sneakers.

From Eastbay: The North Face Men’s E50 Boa

    The North Face Men’s E50 Boa – Spackle Grey/Yellow

    Cost: $124

    Sizes 8-14 (no 12′s)

Nothing spectacular fashion wise… I just didn’t realize that North Face had a sneaker… and that it was so expensive. This style is for trail (it looks like all of them are for trail… except those flip flops… 25 dollars, not bad) and comes in different colors. Here is the site description:

The North Face E50 Boa trail running shoe adds stability and durability under a variety of weather conditions and temperatures. Abrasion-resistant bomber synthetic nubuck upper with highly breathable and protective sandwich mesh. Boa Multi adjust lacing system. TPU Injection Saddle offers optimal lateral and medial stability and support. Directional heel lining panel helps prevent heel slip. Northotic™ ergonomically designed footbed with Poron forefoot and heel inserts and AgION® antimicrobial footbed covering. Ultra lightweight IMEVA midsole combined with the X-2 polymer dampening compounds provides high impact cushioning and long lasting support. Rear foot compression cage provides mechanical assist to midsole components and neutral guidance for mild pronators. Proprietary TNF outsole with Tenacious Grip rubber compound provides excellent traction both on and off road. Wt. 12.7 oz.

This is just interesting to me. I wonder who is helping them make the sneak.. looks like a New Balance type of sneaker, but then again it could be Asics. Mizuno maybe? At any rate check out their different styles on sneakers.
