WOW it been a long time right guys? I know I should have posted more often but my time was soooo limited (and still is for another few days), but I couldn’t let this one slide.
I should have bought this. I really should have bought this. I knew about it coming out since early last month. Now they only have like 4 or 5 different sizes left and none of them are my size. I suspect that either today or sometime after Christmas that I will be seeing this sneaker all over the place if they can sell out before 2 o’clock.
On Sneakerfiles, they were talking about how sneaker stores and such were giving out reservations… RESERVATIONS!!!

I tried to follow up on when these and the other Sir Charles and Air Force Ones are coming out but I just forgot. I believe these came out already. I have not seen them in regular stores so it probably a limited release.
Well, there are a few more coming out for the rest of the year. They look cool but they just don’t get as good as this one right here. (Well… maybe the Air Force 1 Low SPRM MCO CB coming out in Dec 22… very grown AND sexy.)

Oh good lawd THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!!!!
THESE FREAKIN BOOTS ARE FREAKIN ALL OVER THE PLACE! No Lie. TRUE STORY. I have lost count as to how many times I have seen this boot. I have yet to ever see anything close this year when to comes to these things. I was on the bus just 4 days ago and, including myself, there were 5 pairs. 3 of the ones pictured above and 2 of the seamless ones (that is the one I wear).
There isn’t a day that goes by that I do not see these boots. Nike hit the jackpot with this one. Not only the highschoolers are wearing them (copy kats), the college set are wearing them and adults of all ages are wearing them. These shoes are a BIG HIT amongst the Police, UPS, Fed Ex, Security Guards, Construction Workers, Sanitation and MTA workers due to the fact that they are stupid comfortable. When you are on your feet all day doing whatever, you need something that really works well while at the same time fills the job requirements. Your feet hurt, you got corns growing, you hammer toe that didn’t bother you before you started working, now does… man you need something that has some cushioning while it actually will protect your foot against glass, gravel, rocks and other such junk.
These boots do the job. My feet are doing better and I am sure other people will agree that this is better than the Timbo workboot or the Sears work shoe.
A few things Nike could do to just take over the planet with these boots:
- Actually state that the rubber is non-slip on oils and such and that it can protect you from hazards such as electrocution (like other work boots do)
- Make a OSHA approved steel toe version.
- Make a non-visible air version (for those who worry about puncturing the air pillows)
- STOP fronting on the fact that people have widths and orthopedic needs… if New Balance can do it, so can you.
- Would a Nike Shock version work for this? (Undecided on how that would look or how popular that would be)
- Nike Air Max 360 version??? lol
- Much like Timberlan did a collaberation with NYC Police and NYCT, maybe a Goamdome version with a NYC subway map on it.
Yes Nike, I know; these are not work boots. They are marketed toward the casual wearer. That’s fine… but I will bet you that a version that is more work boot like will also take over NYC.
Even with my criticisms, the Nike Air Goadome using full Air Max cushioning works so freakin well that it is literally the boot that has taken over NYC. I can say with many assurances that I will see this boot at least 10 times tomorrow AT LEAST. Not even the Air Jordan Aquas had so much penetration.

I do not hear much talk on the interwebz about this sneaker and I do not know why. This sneaker was just out of control when it came out back in 1993. At least this sneaker was shown as one of the greatest of all time (my words) in Sole (or was it some other mag? I’m not in my room right now so I can’t see for myself) and shown as one of the sneakers that were real cool that came out that year.

And if your still looking for the Aqua’s, well Finishline still has a few left in limited sizes (which is a little surprising considering how many people wanted this sneaker, I’m surprised any are left anywhere). It will also take a week or more to actually send them.

You can see a close comparison of the original Aqua’s verse the news ones on Nicekicks.com. I do not see quality differences. I see color differences but that is about it. I personally think that if the technology was available during the time the Aqua’s originally came out that they would look like the current retros.
But who knows… maybe the quality of the pair this guy got was bad. Lawd knows when I do a review of the Lebron Soldier, it won’t be too good due to a craftsmanship issue that I will explain later, but it still is an overall good sneaker and maybe I got a bad pair.
So what is your next move? Buy em or deny em?

In the NYC area, these sneakers are pretty much sold out and its only been 3 days since they came out. They may have your size in the store or they may not. I should have tried a little harder to get them, now I have to order them online and spend a extra 12 bucks (and on top of that, wait for delivery).
When it comes to FinishLine, what I don’t get is why it will take 2 – 4 days to send this… no correction, 5 to 10 days to deliver. So basically I could get this thing in 2 weeks? LOL
Anyway, I saw this sneaker in real life today and I have to say it is a loud and yet handsome sneaker. Plus, it is easy to find stuff to wear with it. Anything white, blue… maybe some yellows, dark colors too. And those speckles… don’t worry about them. they are not as pronounced as you see in the pictures around the net.
As for the Kings County Spiz’ikes

You can still get these in stores. Not as popular as the “Do The Right thing” but its a good look. Its actually pretty easy to match these too. Plus there are plenty of cool t-shirts available to would go great with them. Get a pair of white shorts or black jeans (or some really dark grey or blue) and your good to go.

Man, I am so mad at myself cause my sneaker budget is grown way out of preportion. I was supossed to have already bought the “Do The Right Thing” Spiz’ike, but now I am having second thoughts cause the Air Jordan 8s are coming out soon, I am thinking that I wan the Lebron Soldiers, I know I want the Air Jordan 11 Low.
And I know I’m getting these… 200 dollars (almost 20 more than the original cost… since when does a retro cost more than the original?). I wanted them when they fist came out, but I couldn’t afford them. Now they coming out in this fabulous colorway.

So as some of you might know already, the “Do The Right Thing” (DTRT) Spiz’ikes are due to come out very soon, the much awaited Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” is also fast approaching as well (the Lifestyle colorway is pictured above). I love (well really like) the DTRT Spiz’ikes but I do not quite understand the total love for the “Aquas“.
Don’t get me wrong, Air Jordan 8 is my all time favorite next to the super all time supreme Air Jordan sneaker Air Jordan 14, but I never really got into the Aqua color. I totally love the white with red and black (the most popular and most bought), just not so much the Aqua.
Ok, I have said my piece. For those who want a little history on the Aqua release and why sneaker heads are going gaga over this:
First worn by MJ for the All Star Game in ‘93 at Salt Lake City, Jordan lead the court with 30 points but unfortunately the East lost by 3.
These shoes were the third and final colorway originally released of the Jordan 8s. Surprisingly, to this day the Jordan 8 holds the record with the fewest colorways – 6 (3 OG colorways, 3 retro colorways).

New Jordan Spizike Cool Grey from Sneaker Files
Could it be that more Spizikes are coming out?
I read this from Sneakerfiles.com and NiceKicks.com that Jordan himself was wearing an yet unreleased (maybe never released… who knows) pair of Spizikes at Flight School.
With about 60+ comments on Sneakerfiles about the look of the sneaker, I have to say that allot of people have allot to say about the look.
The last one to be officially released that people have been talking about was the white and cement Spizikes (limited release in December). For a better look at what might be, click the link at the top of the page.

They are coming out. Somewhere in the Fall of 2008. And while you gaze at the pictures online (cool grey is so cool), you may want to take a look at the video below too… it does look really nice. Wow!!! Nike Dunk and Vandal Back to School Pack
I saw this in the rss feed so I checked it out. I wondered how exactly are they going to do this… and guess what? It actually looks nice. You got your Elmers Glue, a composition notebook looking sneaker and a sneaker that uses the colors of Crayola crayons. Most people who commented says they like it.

If the Nike Dunks colors aren’t crazy enough… Vandals have been out for a while now. Eastbay has got a few left on its virtual shelf. I like these allot. I could get away with it with jeans because they will cover the blue area for the most part while leaving the yellow out. When I wear shorts, I have to make sure I got some sort of yellow shirt or blue maybe… whatever, I still like these.
If you are thinking about having these as a collectable, then go for it. I am not sure if this is the most sort after color combination, but its a nice look and will probably is one the ‘high value’ list.

It would seem that a sneaker I thought would not look to get, actually looks pretty good in real life. The Columbia blue color isn’t as ‘neon-ish’ as I thought it would be. Plus, as I traveled through NY today, I actually saw people wearing them. I think (at least in NYC) Air Jordan Retro Ones are a success. I have seen all of the retro version on some kids feet during the course of the day.
On the oppisite side of the coin, Air Jordan XX2′s have not been seen at all… well up until 4 days ago. And I will bet you that it is because some stores cut the price of them.
The Air Jordan XX2 looks good, but they don’t seem to be as popular in NYC. They have been out a while but I have only just now started to see people wear them. What were their ages? 2 over 45, one 18-24 and a elementary school kid.
I saw no one wearing the Omega’s yet… stay tuned.
