What the deuce???!!?!?!1!!!??1?!!! Nike, how in the hell could you think that “bright cactus” would be better than “cactus green”? I think this is one of those situations that Nike should have did some research to find out what people were saying about the preview of the sneaker image.
You have the internet and you have buyers who are very obviously lead users when it comes to your products… why in the great wide world of sports would you change the look of a sneaker that was getting all types of praise?

The other negative comments are just not postable her. There are some positive ones but at the end of the day there are more negative and more negative ones are also very sharp against this as oppossed to just not liking them.
Currently the brighter cactus is on sale on Nike’s Members Only site. 200 dollars. Now if you include shipping and any taxes you might have to pay… well you do the math. All I am saying is that I was saving money to buy this thing and now I guess I’ll just pay a bill or something… maybe I’ll get the Jordan Playoffs.

Sooooo… we are getting closer to the release date (12/11/07… I think) of the Cement Spiz’ike. People seem into this one more than the “Do The right Thing” and “Kings County“. Maybe because it matches more gear that is already in your closet! Well, that is what I think. I bought the Right Thing and have yet to wear it. I got to buy me some new pants and a couple of shirts to go with it LOL

The video that everyone is talking about. Its ok. I wish it was better quality (on Youtube) I mean, they had to know the sneaker world would pick this up real quick and post it all over. Talk about advertising! You reach your target market and reach other possible market of shoppers and so forth as well.
So why isn’t the video quality a little better? lol Well… except for the end where it says AT&T, now that part was clear LMAO
The comments on this were not so positive for the most part but then again in a culture that almost requires itself to not be mainstream, I would guess that many would be all negative about it… but it still was a good commercial, especially since most people seeing it probably won’t know what they are even looking at so there still is an element of “in the know” that is there.
See for yourself what the comments on some of the sites I visit are like. Heck, even the comments on Youtube are interesting. Overall the commercial is in the lame area, but I do think it was a good idea and a good start to what the future can bring.

Would you guess that the picture above is something that looks good? Well it does. While I never heard of this brand, it looks like Nike and Converse (and Pro Keds lol) have something else to worry about with all the other new sneaker brands that have emerged over the past 5-6 years.

Man… I am really liking what Alife is doing these days. I have spent way over my budget in sneaker this year and I haven’t bought anything that really represents what I call Urban Grown and Sexy. I have plenty of hood gear (I’m moving away from that… I’m just too old LOL) and even more of what I call urban casual (a more sophisticated urban aka hip hop… yeah urban is used to not say hip hop or black… but I think “urban” has grown some to move out of the confines of being another way of saying Black inspired), but I haven’t bought anything in the urban grown and sexy category.
Even though these are sneakers, they fit the bill. Can’t afford them this year (I have to get my foamposites), but next year I will have a pair of Alife sneakers (along with those Yo MTV Rap Pumas, old school Pro-Keds, some Italian shoes, a pair of Rockports… yes I have a big sneaker and casual shoe budget next year. I am hooking up my wardrobe cause I’m getting ready for war!)

Yes ladies and gentlemen. Walk around the streets of NYC for a day and guess what you will continue to see in t-shirt form? You will see a few Brooklyn shirts (especially if your in Brooklyn) and large amounts of “I Love (Heart) NY” in multiple base colors.
Pink, blue, white, yellow, orange, purple, sky blue… haven’t seen many black ones though.
I don’t know if this will last into next summer, but I do know this; It will last until at least the winter. So the people going Back To School (Pack) and those who will be going to the Caribbean Day Parade (sometimes called the Labor Day parade but technically the Labor Day Parade is held on a different day and its done by the Unions and Labor groups) might wanna get 1 or 2 tees.

This is pretty hot! I don’t see allot of people wearing Huarache sneakers around my way, but they are still the coolest sneakers to wear. The normal description for mid-premium range sneakers. If I had a girl (yeah ladies, I am single, hit me up (718) 555…. you know the rest) I think I would get her these. Now the question is would she wear them at all.
Why do I say that? Well because it seems the look of the sneaker appeals to guys, ut its made for women and designed with a feminine touch (just look at the Air Jordan XII and then look at these… everything is ‘softer’). So it kinda is between both worlds inseat of being more into one or the other.
But that’s my opinion. I still think its a good looking sneak. I am glad SOMEBODY is making some cool looking stuff in sneaker form for women without doing a re-badging of a male sneaker by just changing its colors (you know, the car world and the sneaker world have ALLOT in common).

Not sure if this is the real thing or not cause how exactly do you un-crease (decrease) a pair of sneaker or shoes when the crease usually comes from age and/or how the toe box is designed (and material… can’t forget that)?
How did I find such an item, I saw it while surfing Nice Kicks.com. I saw the ad and I was like… what the… so I clicked it (someone got paid today LOL) and low and BEHOLD! If this works, then its one of the best buys you can get. Why? Cause I know somebody out there is going to wear that collectible sneaker and after a night of partying and walking/dancing different so you wouldn’t bend them too much, you need to get them back to normal.
Well, if anyone ends up getting them, give a shout. They are 10 bucks each (at least what I saw).

These are pretty hot. I have NO IDEA what I would wear with them but I still think they are hot. I guess blue jeans go with everything, and maybe a green or teal shirt… I think what sneaker blogs and mags should do sometimes is show you what to get with sneakers that obviously use wild colors. Now don’t get me wrong, I actually love these jeans. They are high quality and because of the thread count, the jeans feel like some sort of silk (in jean form) on your leg. Those “G” on you leg are flashy and yet they do have a sort of sense of smooth. Its not too flashy.

This is a pure buy. Maybe even a collectible do to its styling and exclusiveness. I can bet that not many people are buying this to just keep in the closet, so if you keep it as a collectible, you are most likely the only one who has it for your entire region.
The color highlights are real nice and the detail is great. The double take some might give you when they realize those are not Converse’s… priceless. And yes I love the tread of this sneaker. Its just smooth all around.
