Lebron Gives A Nod To Jordan – LeBron VII Cool Grey

(I can get behind this)

Why do this? Why the hell not? And it looks really good. This is most likely a collectible. In fact I would say it’s no question that this is a collectible.

I do hope though that it doesn’t show up every time there is a new release of this signature sneaker, but I can get with it if they decide to do it that way (I just won’t like it lol).

More info on Sneakernews… and who is this Kinstor guy? Kinstor is making waves on the sneakernets with these pics much like another guy did a couple of years back (look at the name on the pic in the link). Hope it doesn’t end badly… just like that other guy a couple of years back.

Infrared Vs. Varsity Red = Which Is The True Classic AJ6

Air Jordan 6 Black Varsity Red Retro

And just when you thought you could shout to the heavens above that the Air Jordan VI in the Bulls colorway was going to be released, they give us shocking news: the AJ VI will not be infrared but varsity red.

“So what?”,  says some… “dude, what the hell?”, says others… Make no mistake though, according to those who have picked up the pair of kicks early, varsity red is brighter than infrared.

Expect a full report on what was said by the sneakernets, any videos,  and lots of opinions and pics when the sneaker is about to release.

There is a video out from SneakGeekz so take a look

Sooooo… does more detail pictures of the Air Jordan 2010 convince you?

(hmmmm… this is gonna be a interesting releases come February)

On Sale: Air Jordan 12 Rising Sun at Eastbay

(so they finally released it… so far NYC loves it)

Its been a while yall and I most certainly missed blogging these past few weeks. Setting up a new site that you are passionite about seems to take longer to finish than doing a site for someone else. Its like the art takes over and you loose  sight of the science of it all… you know, the technical details.

Anyway I am back to blogging while I work on the behind the scenes stuff (crossing fingers for a November 30 grand opening). In the mean time, lets get back to this sneaker release. The Air jordan 12 Rising Sun was suppossed to release last month, but there was a slight problem with the insole having a symbl of the japanese army in them… or something like that… so because of that and the linkages to WWII trageties, the insole was stripped out.

The funny thing is if that was a problem, wouldn’t the whole sneaker also be a problem considering that it still based off of the Rising Sun flag? Just look at the profile of the sneaker…. hmmm… sure its not as direct, but its still there.

For all the hoopla, the sneaker still looks pretty good. I have seen in in NYC at least 3 times already and that was before the drama about the sneaker came up. Its a very smooth look for what for me seems a very hard sneaker to get the right colorway on. If I remember correctly back when they originally released they were popular but was  not the most loved Air Jordan sneaker release. Now that it is retroed (for a second or third time… I forget) and the nostalgia sets in, it would seem that they are more popular now than they originally released.

I think these will do well. They look really good and would make a great summer sneaker (that is, if it was summer… guess we can wear them next year). I expect to see these come out again in the summer of 2010.

For those who got the original with the rising sun insole I would say you are rather lucky to get the original concept. If you are a sneaker collector I would save those insoles. They are probably not gonna ever be worth anything, but it still a piece of sneaker history.

They are on sale at Eastbay right now and all the sizes are still available.

If Only The Air Jordan 2010 Looked Like This

Project Bluefoot - air Jordan 25 aka 2010

(this would be freakin dope as hell)

Sneak Peak at Air jordan XXV aka Air Jordan 2010

(this on the other hand doesn’t look like it will be dope as hell)

The Project BLUEFOOT contest is going well and that top image is just one of the best. If only the Air Jordan 2010 would look like that I think I would be happy. Unfortunately it would seem that it will look more like the second picture… a big Jumpan in a circle on the side of a sneaker? Really? Any sneaker and overall footwear attict looks forward to the next Air Jordan top of the line sneak peak pics, but these are a little disappointing.

But the Project BLUEFOOT contest is no where near being disappointing. ake a look at what they got so far in the contest looks great. While I have no idea how he sneaker designs would actually perfform on the court (looking at one of them I have some doubts), I do know how that most look really good. Of course there are more o high performing sneakers than looks… but when was the last time you saw a high end car look bad? Not too often right? So why isn’t it that way for sneakers?

So Just What Would A Jordan Sneaker From adidas Look Like?

(I think this would be an interesting contest… yes?)

I would love to know what a adidad version of the Air Jordan (well, I guess it wouldn’t be “Air”… maybe “bounce” or something) would look like. The Shoe Game posted the video first and the comments on the video is crazy, but the one thing really left out was what WOULD it really look like.

So I was thinking of doing some of my own doodles and come up with a adidas line for Micheal Jordan…. but then I was thinking why not also ask the Shoe Game communitty to come up with some concepts? Heck, why not also ask some of those artists at the Kicks On Fire community and maybe NikeTalk  too and see what they come up with.

So I am going to ask, and then post it. I  guess people can vote on which adidas Jordan is the best or most likely to have happened. Until then, enjoy your holiday weekend! I am sure most of the sneakernets and the shoelovers are away for the weekend so it will be a slow weekend, but take heart because Tuesday is when it all starts all over again!

Space Jam Air Jordan 11 VIDEO by SneakGeekZ

(freaking WOW dude… lol at SneakGeekZ for the sniff test comment)

Oh man these things look freakin fantastic. The video got everything including a mini review of the sneaker and some comparisons to the older Space Jams and other Air Jordan 11′s. Just watch!

DeBate on My.KicksOnFire: Which Jordans Do You Think Are The Most Comfortable EVER????

(and the winner – well at least for me – is)

Air Jordan 23 Chicago Bulls in Black Varsity Red

(ok ok ok… but which Jordan did the posters pick?)

Jordan Men's Retro 8

Second place was the AJ 11 (unless I counted wrong) and 3rd was the AJ V’s. Many mentioned more than one Air Jordan (even 3) as the best instead of just one but over all it was the Air Jordan 8 that came up the most.

What’s funny about that pick is that is is know that Micheal Jordan had some problems playing in that pair (at least that is what was said about them). So something that may not have worked on the court as well seemed to be well received at least on this forum post.

You can read it for yourself here if you wish.

If you have a Kicks On Fire account it will make it easier to state your option as well.

What If? Air Jordan 14 in FERRARI Colorway Photoshopped by BP of NikeTalk

jordan14_ferrariwhite by BP of NIKEtalk

(on can dream, can’t he?)

The colorway photoshopped by BP of NikeTalk and I gotta say I wish… WISH… they would  just talk to him about making colorways for some of these retros and current releases. There would be no need for Save-A-Sneaker with him on board. Can you guys imagine if this colorway came out for the AJ14′s? Classic.

I would be living the Boss’ Life if I had these… no seriously, I would.

Space Jams Releasing… in December?

You know I just love reading comments and seeing videos from people who love (or no love) what they get. Nightwing2303 gave us a look at a pair of sneakers he purchased from VMV Inc online. It is a good video of the sneaker if you wanted even more views of them.

Nightwing2303 did a follow up comment on The Shoe Game:

Sorry about my lack of enthusiasm lol! That is what I sound like when I am excited… Im just real laid back. If I saw MJ himself in the flesh, on the inside I would be acting like an Nsync fan who just had Timberlake’s sweat drip on their shirt but on the outside I stay fairly reserved. I was excited however but also slightly disappointed the more I had inspected them. There are quite a few things that didnt sit right with me, the warped ankle area was just the most obvious. There were glue marks on the patent area, the leather on the heal had been put on a little sloppy AND the side panel of one of the shoes already had a fat crease on the patent leather?!?! How do you crease the SIDE of the damn shoe? Anyways, I am happy I got them since I had spent all my hard earned savings for the concords back in ‘01 (I was in high school so I was broke) so I missed the Jams… and I still “miss” them now like someone else said on here, they arent really space jam XIs they are retro XIs in a black varsity royal and white makeup. But F-it I just love shoes.

So that’s that.

I was going to get 2 pair of these Space Jams but I agree that quality is down with JB. Now its true that not every sneaker is going to be made perfectly (they must make thousands of these so a pair or 2 will  be messed up), I do think there is a consistent quality (or lack thereof) that has been going on with Jordans (retros specifically).

Space Jams releasing in December?

I hoe to see a confirmation of this. Otherwise I think they are coming out on Black Friday in November. But Nike has surprised us in the past (black on black Half Cent Penny’s anyone?) so i guess its a wait and see.

Wow… $460 Bucks For The Air Jordan 11 SPACE JAM

Air Jordan 11 Space Jams Available Early at SupremexClientele

(that’s a whole lot of dough… talk about braking bread)

And I quote from Nicekicks.com:

The shoes will be $175 when they release later this year, but if you want to get them early, eBay seller SUPREMExCLIENTELE is offering them with Buy It Now’s for $460…about $300 more than the sticker price.

Is $460 too much to, not only get yours first, but to ensure you get them at all? There were some complaints about the price and it being so far above the original $175 (which is also higher than the original cost of the AJ11′s) but I would conclude that this is one special sneaker release and people want the early beat on these sneakers.

And school is starting soon too

And in NYC you have the Labor Day parade and all the parties the few days before the parade. That’s a whole lot of showing off your swagger (gawd I hate that word).

I wish/hope that Brand Jordan makes sure that there are enough AJ11′s to buy even though it is a limited release. I had no problem getting the “quickstrike” and “limited” of a few Jordans (which made me wonder if quickstrike and limited means the same thing anymore), but I just hope that when they say limited for the AJ11, what it really means is “hurry up and get to the store but you don’t have to stand online”.

Air Jordan X OnePiece 2006 Promo Samples… in safety orange of all colors

Air Jordan X - One-Piece - 2006 Promo Samples Safety Orange and Navy

(why?)

I am this close in making this the official sneaker to represent the Save-A-Sneaker lol I swear what in the colorway hell is this?

I will admit I love the idea of a one piece and I think Gourmet (with those tribute sneakers to Jordan that had a love/hate reaction)  also thought it was a good idea enough to do it. Its too bad that they didn’t or maybe its good that they didn’t with safety orange as a colorway.

I love how sneaker (and shoe) companies push the envelop. I hope my criticisms don’t scare them into not taking chances (like my blog is that popular lol) but this right here has to be one of the less-better idea.

2 colorways were tried and let me just say that the navy one is the better choice (but it still looks a little odd though). See more on sneakernews.com

In Sneaker News: Air Jordan Hall Of Fame Pack PROBLEMS – Getting Sued???

AJ1 HOF(wow… never thought that someone would dislike a pack so much…)

EDIT: Hall of Fame Pack is to release September 5 2009 (and one comment on Kicks on Fire that is currently unverified, states that the Hall of Fame pack has been renamed to Moments… again, this is  unverified)

It would seem that there is a slight problem with the Hall Of Fame Pack. Some company that I never heard of (Sports Fuzion Inc) is seeking remedy against Nike because of junk and junk related to some stuff and stuff. I swear I don’t understand the  connection between a Hall Of Fame Pack and a company with the word Fuzion in it…

Ok, seriously,  Nike deals with sports, Sport fusion deals with… I guess sports, and both are dealing with Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. That is apparently the connection… because somehow you the buyer are going to get very confused that Nike, a sneaker/shoe company, also is somehow related to Sports Fuzion and whatever they do (I refuse to look it up).

But here is the REAL meat of the lawsuit… (more…)

Super Sale: Air Jordan Fusion V Grey Nurse

AJ Fusion V Premiere

(back on sale if you want for $119.99 – no not 99.99 like the pic says)

One of the many AJF Fusion V’s released but it has a special meaning behind it. if you are into Jordan and  a military buff, you will like this Grey Nurse. Its not $99 dollars like the last time it was on sale, but its still a pretty big sale.

Air Jordan Space Jam + Black Friday + QuickStrike = HypeBeasts

SPACE JAM - AJ 11

(why a quickstrike??? WHY?????)

I have NO IDEA why Brand Jordan and Nike has decided to make the Space Jam Air Jordan 11 a quickstrike (as some have reported) and I am not sure if it is a good idea or a bad one. It makes the release more coveted that’s for sure, but at the same time what will happen is that people who are just in it for the money will buy up the sneakers and then sell them online for some crazy profit. I don’t mind them making a few couple hundred off a pair, but several hundred to a thousand? No.
