Can Anything Stop The Air jordan 16.5?… clearly the hottest .5 ever made?
(what colorway HASN’T been a hit?)
Whether its the BRED (Varsity Red vs Infrared anyone???), black and white, Cool Grey or whatever, its a hit. The picture above is the Air Jordan 16.5 Hoyas “G” (yeah I call them the G… not the official nickname but maybe it will catch on lol). First seen on Sneakerfiles with pics from jumpman23.com
Will retros ever go out of style?

Copper Penny… SneakGeekz done it again
(I love the concept… not sure about the look)
That copper Penny foamposite is going to be one hot ass sneaker when it releases. I expect khaki sales to run a muck when these come out… I mean what else will go with them? Expect some famous person to wear them try to teach people how to do it (or how not to do it… depending on the outfit).
Whatever… these are collectibles for sure. Maybe you can frame them when your not wearing them (by the way, did I tell you guys that I am going to make a frame for my Air Yeezy’s I won from Nicekicks?)
Thanks to Sneak Geeks.comfor the video
Sooooo… does more detail pictures of the Air Jordan 2010 convince you?
(hmmmm… this is gonna be a interesting releases come February)
“Compulsive Sneaker Disorder” persists in NY despite crisis
wow… Russia wants to know what makes a sneakerhead purchase in a recession
Somebody tell them that sneakerheads are natural leaders and that’s why they do what they do. Sneakerheads will find a way!
Converse Weapon Evo Has A Low Top
(looks pretty good)
So the weapon Evo now gets the low-top treatment and looks good doing it. I would almost say that (depending on how they treat the colorways of course) that the low top looks better than the hi-top. Its like a convertible that looks great but when you add the hardtop it looks a little off but still good.
????
I hope I am not loosing anybody with that one. According to Sneaker Obsession, the pics first showed up on a Chinese website but no further details have been made. I hope they come out with them and I hope this is the beginning of putting Converse back on the map when it comes to Basketball.
Even TechCrunch (a technology blog) Loves Vibram Five Finger Shoes
(well, I first seen it on TechCrunch but its really on CrunchGear…. big difference lol)
And how did such a post do on a technology and gadget blog? It did very well (191 comments so far) and it spurred a second post as well on running later on here. I almost think that the one person I saw wearing them after the post was made was wearing them because of the post on CrunchGear… but I didn’t get a chance to ask him so I will never know.
I guess I gota make a list of these new wave footwear that has been coming out as of late. Between MBT, Skechers (and their MTB look alike), and Vibram “feet you wear… literally” sneakers, it looks like technology for the feet is still moving forward.
I know I am going to give that Vibram a shot. $70+ dollars seems a little expensive for something that you just want to try out, but I will give them a shot and report back.
(remember we weren’t born with shoes… its true lol)
(don’t expect me to do any of that type of testing though)

KICKS Issue 12…. YEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!
(ITS ON NOW B******CHS)
(lol)
You know what guys… Slam’s KICKS Magazine has been around for a while. Its been around so long that when I was in school and wanted to design a website for KICKS as a class project this is what I came up with:

(for 1999 this is pretty good if I say so myself)

(the “I” in Team… who else would come up with that other than me? LMAO
Guess when I did that? Back in 1999 in collage college. Damn, that was a decade ago (why am I showing my age??? lol).
… and hey… Slam Magazine KICKS… don’t get any ideas, this is copyrighted LOL

LeBron Does An Interview With The Life Files… and yes, theLBJ VII sneakers were mentioned
(and this)
So the new LeBrons have released and the world tour begins. Now an interview with young upstart lifestyle web blog The.LIFE Files. What next? parnerships with Nike, Coke? And you see how he is talking about his brand, not him making deals directly with these company. Very interesting.

(best colorway so far… I swear lol)
I give LeBron credit for this. I was not feeling how he behaved at the end of the finals but he seems to have a good head on his shoulders and I guess that was just a slip in behavior for someone who likes to win (who doesn’t like to win? lol its what you do when you lose that makes you a champion… at least thatt’s what I tell the kids). I look forward to the next season.

LeBron VII Mania Sweeps The Sneaker Web – More Than A Game
(wow… this may be the best LeBron ever to come out)
I am waiting to see what’s next and what people are saying about it… so I am gonna let things cool off for a minute before writing the wrap up. I have to say though, they really giving this sneaker a hollywood debut, that’s for sure. So far most of the colorways shown online look pretty good. Stay tunes tomorrow for a wrap up of the Lebron VII with all videos and colorways(so far) and OF COURSE what people are saying… and not saying… about the sneaker.
Until then!!!!

In Sneaker News: Air Jordan Hall Of Fame Pack PROBLEMS – Getting Sued???
(wow… never thought that someone would dislike a pack so much…)
EDIT: Hall of Fame Pack is to release September 5 2009 (and one comment on Kicks on Fire that is currently unverified, states that the Hall of Fame pack has been renamed to Moments… again, this is unverified)
It would seem that there is a slight problem with the Hall Of Fame Pack. Some company that I never heard of (Sports Fuzion Inc) is seeking remedy against Nike because of junk and junk related to some stuff and stuff. I swear I don’t understand the connection between a Hall Of Fame Pack and a company with the word Fuzion in it…
Ok, seriously, Nike deals with sports, Sport fusion deals with… I guess sports, and both are dealing with Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. That is apparently the connection… because somehow you the buyer are going to get very confused that Nike, a sneaker/shoe company, also is somehow related to Sports Fuzion and whatever they do (I refuse to look it up).
But here is the REAL meat of the lawsuit… (more…)
Looks Like Finishline Stepped Its Game Up: Updated Website
(looks like we got ourselves a updated site)
While browsing the net for new sneakers and shoes on sale, I headed to FinishLine (as usual) and noticed that the site got updated just a touch. It now features a slide show of featured items, links to your favorite sneaker lines, and tags to your, ou guessed it, favorite sneaker lines as well as specific sneakers or shoes on sale.
And a nice touch, some footwear companies get a special landing page (sometimes I hate that because I want to go directly to the sneakers) that actually looks good and is useful. Reeboks landing page (when you click on the category tag REEBOK) actually has info on it I want to see and they CLEARLY mark where I can click to get to the kicks I want to see (or all the kicks they have at Finishline)
Sneaker News:Dangling Sneakers and Shoes On A Fence = Economic Woes
I, like most people in the US, have felt the sting of the current economicmess. Maybe not as bad as other people have had (like loosing their home or job) but nevertheless I too have felt some impact.
As I was browsing for news stories on sneakers or shoes, I came across this news story about the loss of funding for a charity that runs a shelter for domestic violence victims due to the tightening of funds for non-profits like these.
Linda Healy, the executive director of the shelter, says that the cut is so high, that they will be forced to close the shelter.
Here is a quote from the article:
Dozens of shoes dangle from a wrought-iron fence surrounding a 19th century mansion for battered women and children, which plans to close its doors on July 1.
The flip-flops, tiny pink baby sneakers and crutches are token reminders of those once served by the Mutual Ground Inc shelter, which last year housed 400 people but is now another victim of the crisis in U.S. social services amid a deep recession.
“If somebody dies, I’m not going to have it on my head,” said Linda Healy, executive director of the nonprofit agency that runs the shelter in Aurora, a Chicago suburb where domestic violence is the third-most reported crime.

It’s a different take on the idea of hanging your shoes on a phone wire or on a tree. It takes on a different meaning depending on where you go. Here, though, it represents the lives effected by the economic mess.
Lawd Have Mercy… Any News On The Air Jordan 14.5?
(why lawd, just tell me why no news on this yet?)
No news that I am aware of on these proposed sneaker hybrid between the AJ14 and the AJ15. I hope they are still planning on releasing these in the future. There were no mock up or samples of this sneaker so all I have to go on is the drawing done by Kenlu

A New Community RISES!!! The Shoe Game Has A New Community Site
(hustle, hustle Real Hard!!!)
And you know as a guy who has to know everything there is to know about what’s coming out next… so I can rant about it… I have set up an account.
How am I gonna report on what’s going on in the community if I am not part of it all???
This is a great addition to the sneaker community as a whole and the best part is that you don’t have to make a whole new account if you have one on KicksOnFire (if you don’t have an account there… something is wrong with you lol… just joking sheesh don’t take it personal… ok just put down the gun… yes I am a little crazy LMAO)
So join the community. My profile is here.
I’m Back… Did U Miss Me?
After posting consistantly for the past month or so I stopped, mostly cause I went on vacation.
But I am back and boy did I miss posting my high quality opinions rants (lol ) on all sorts of stuff.
No worries ladies and gents, I will be starting it up again by Monday. I am just working on some behind the scenes on stuff that I really wanted to start this Monday and I am runing behind a little, but I should be on point by Monday (Thursday the latest lol)
Let the crazinesss continue! In the mean time feel free to browse all the cool stuff and foot related interesting tid bits I have posted throughout the years while I clean up the place a little.
Save-A-Sneaker: Air Jordan 2009 (With Promo Video) – White/Black
(probably one of the best designed sneaker out… buy who’s buying them?)
I think I saw one person in them since they been out. One person. Now the funny thing is that I didn’t see that many people in the Air Jordan 23′s last year either, but since they were sold out almost everywhere you went, I had to assume that it was because of the following reasons:
- The sneaker were so popular that people were afraid to wear them
- No one wanted to mess them up, so they didn’t wear them
- Hypebeasts bought them up so that they could sell them on eBay for a profit leaving everybody else with stores sold out of merchandise
Nevertheless with the Air Jordan 2009, the sneaker just stays on the store racks. Sizes 7 – 13 are still available at most places. I think these sneakers deserve a review by one of the sneaker blogs out there but its not likely to happen… maybe I will ask and see if one of them will do it, but in the end, the only thing that will save this sneaker is some colorway changes.
(are you kidding me? Nike/Jordan, please make this colorway!!!)
I have said it before and I will say it again, sometimes a colorway can save – a – sneaker. As many people have commented over the sneakernets, this sneaker looks like it has a heel. And yet I bet they put their money out for this colorway (or any colorway that has has a classic look or some history behind it). What’s your opinion? Would you get the Air Jordan 2009 if it was in the colorway above?
