Diggin In The Sneaker Crates (shoe edition): Martin Margiela’s New Fall-Winter
Martin Margiela’s New Fall/Winter Line – Luxist
Back in 2008 Luxist posted some info on what Martin Margiela was planning for the fall and winter. Just digging in those sneaker crates (shoe edition)… August 18th 2008
Diggin In The Sneaker Crates (shoe edition): Already Destroyed Steel-Toed Boots by Maison Martin Margiela
Designer Steel-Toed Boots, Already Destroyed – Luxist
This was from Luxist from a while back… like August 24th of 2008 to be exact. The cost of these bad boys is just under 1200 in case you were wondering. Just diggin in those sneaker crates (shoe edition)….
Married To The Mob & Teyana Taylor – Fall 2009 Collection
(there is something about MTTM I just like)

(you can NEVER go wrong with Air Jordan Holy Grails)
(ok, ok… you can go wrong with them, but she didn’t)
The fall 1 delivery is slated to drop next week just in time for back to school so keep your eyes peeled on www.mttmnyc.com and Alife stores to cop the gear. Married to the MOB has tapped 18-year-old rapper/singer Teyana Taylor (best known as Pharrell’s protege), to be the face of their fall 2009 “Smells Like Teen Spirit” collection shot by Brooke Nipar at ACE Hotel

Nice.
This news came out a long time ago. Not too long ago (August ’09) but long enough. I guess it could be a “diggin in the sneaker crates” post considering just how long ago but what the hell… I ment to post this but somehow left it on the drafting table.
Anyway, the MTTM look is pretty smooth. It street style that is specifically for the ladies. It underground enough to be different yet easy enough to get and be recognizable by those in the know to flaunt that you know too… does that make sense? That damn psychology class is starting to kick in.
There are more pics on Freshness.com but the ones posted here are my favorite, especially the all black look. The Minnie skirt can be bought here, while the t-shirt can be had over here. Don’t know where the boots came from but hell, find your own hard core boots to match (or get those Timberland high heels… nah that won’t work with this… but if you follow my twitter you would know that I want to see a women in those right now!!! Those boots would make any guys head turn to check out the lady wearing them) bu I guess you can go for these Timbos if push came to shove. Kinda tall, but you wouldn’t need to put on those thigh high socks that she is wearing.
Karmaloop has a little lookbook so when you head over to the Married To The Mob page, you will see a link at the top for the fall lookbook.
(???)
And no… I have NO IDEA what that background pic on the Karmaloop/MTTM page is supposed to be about (and when you scroll down it gets worst lol)… its a little crazy, BUT those kicks the gorilla is wearing is alright.
Diggin In The Sneaker Crates: SNEAKERS76 X FOREX PARTY
(that is one very racey picture right there)
I didn’t go to the party myself, but if she was there I would have found a way just to get a glimpse of here… that is if she was wearing the same outfit lol First seen on SneakerFreaker and it wasn’t that long ago, but I love the look of the flier too much to pass up an opportunity to make a post about it. I am starting to think we should have a flier contest and see who comes up with the best ones… just for fun and bragging rights.

Diggin In The Sneaker Crates: Kim Kardashian Tosses Sneakers
[Kim Kardashian throwing sneakers and shoes... girl give me a call lol]
Many moons ago (back in January) Kim did a solid by tossing out sneakers to the crowd. A shoe showing contest… sounds like a good idea to me.

Digging In The Sneaker Crates: Bobizzo Video For Nike Head T-Shirt
(ummmm… TOTALLY NOT SAFE FOR WORK lol)
(the t-shirt may not be that much safer for/at work either LMAO)
And I am not sure you want to see the other one, but here is the link. Not getting political here but aint Bobizzo worried that the government will try to get at him? lol Maybe this is why his site is still under construction (like I am one to talk lol)
(Bobizzo site under construction… nice construction)
(oh and if you want, go to their official eBay site)
I first saw this t-shirt on Nicekicks (I think) and I have to admit that I really was like “I got to get this t-shirt”. Then I started seeing other t-shirts that really spoke to the people who are into sneakers and shoes. People who are sneakerheads and people who aspire to be sneaker heads but might not take itas far would love these type of t-shirts.
I don’t know if this was the first one to represent footwear freaks and the sneaker community, but its the first one I remember and only second to “I Got 99 Proboblems But My Kicks Aint One” by Sneaktip
Those 2 t-shirts officially kicked (gett it? kicked?) off for me and what I think is now a small love affiar with sneaker t-shirts (I don’t think I will be wearing t-shirts about mens… and definiatly not womens… shoes… guess though I am a footwear/foot freak in denial lol)
T-shirts and sneakers; perfect together!

Diggin In The Sneaker Crates: SeaVees x Pantone Sneakers
(there is something so Photoshop about this)
I am sure those who design magazines, layouts, bags, logos, website designing and anybody who has played with Photoshop and other image programs have knowledge of the Pantone colors. Back in Febuary of 2009 (this year) you could have put tht on your own feet thanks to SeaVees.
SeaVees celebrates the founding of Pantone and the release of the first PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM. For the first time in their 45 year history and through an exclusive agreement, Pantone has allowed an exter nal design team into their hallowed archives. SeaVees cofounders Steven Tiller and Derek Galkin selected seven vintage colors from the original Pantone color guide.

I Love ACG and Sneaker Freaker Did A Special On It
(I love me some ACG’s… ok, ok, not all of them lol)
Sneaker Freaker has a special on ACG, where the idea come from, and other such info that I am sure ACG fans would want to know.
I bought 2 Air Mowabbs myself (different colorways and yes I got the purple and dark brown one) and I have plenty of those Nike ACG boots.
Here is a quote from part one:
For gear that was designed solely for the outdoors, you’d think ACG would look suspiciously antisocial in the urban environment, but that’s never been the case. The consistent hallmark of all Nike shoe design is performance, but they also generally look good in any application and ACG just might be the pinnacle of this dual achievement. Lightweight sneakers for the outdoors that are versatile has been the ethos, but there is no doubting the freedom the designers have had to push the limit.
And now one from part two:
Sneaker Freaker: When an anniversary’s on there’s a tendency to bring out all the retro hits… it seems like you’re going to resist that temptation?
Stewart Horner:
We have resisted it as much as possible and tried to not do the obvious. ACG has always been about breaking away from the norm a little bit. Even in our own world we try and do things a
little bit differently to the bigger Nike brand. There will be some NSW releases of ACG, particularly the Magma and we are using the Mowabb for example, but more from a colour perspective. Overall though, you can still definitely see the vintage flavour in the new stuff.
Its a must read. And you have to see some of the kicks that they came up with. That flywire boot is no joke.

From LabelNetworks – Creative Recreation Sneaker Brand Interview: LNTV
(its a year old, but its the first time I’m seeing it lol)
The video is from February 18 of 2008 so if you see a bunch of sneakers that you already have on your feet and been had them for a minute, don’t get all upset.
In fact most of the videos on Label Labs You Tube account is a year old. Nevertheless, its still a nice and interesting archive of many brands that are trendy right now.
The Label Lab blog is still doing its thing though, so check that out.

Sneaker Freaker Looks At Chris Aylen’s Vintage Sneaker Collection
(I love me some Air Max Tn!!!)
I loved these sneakers (although I just couldn’t bring myself to liking the mens colorways… now the womens colorways were SUPER HAWT) and when they made a hybrid of this sneaker and the Air Max 360, I supported the move mostly because anything with a Air Max Tn upper is going to turn heads (at least in women colorways).
But he has got more than just Air Max Tn’s in his collection.
(wild look, but still smooth… even in orange)

(got to look at the slides for more)
This is a very nice collection. I would seem that Chris is very into those Air Max Tn’s (one of my friends called them Tn’s for short… and she totally LOVED her pair to death).
There are 2 things I have to say to all collectors whether its sneakers or shoes or both, get what you like and love them.
The other thing is that I hope people expand to other brands as well to collect. Get some shoes in there! Get some sneakers other than Nike and Jordan. All I ask is give them a try.

Diggin In The Sneaker Crates: Nike AF1 25th Anniversary – Crafting the Perfect One on Highsnobiety.com
(oh man I like this… not sure what I would wear it with though)
As seen back in 2006 of December on Highsnobiety.com (that’s right, December 2006!!! Expect more of these blast from the past posts haha) These are some real smooth sneakers. There were 2 more pair shown on the blog post that would be easier to find something to wear with them (the other 2 were all white… but a little boring)

Color Change Puma???? When did This come Out?
(while I am no crazy about the particular colorway, the idea is fresh)
The video was done in 2007 so I will have to do a search and see what the deal is…
This might be one of those Diggin In The Sneaker Crates posts… stay tuned
United Nude Got Some Creative Ideas
(get this at United Nude in this and other colors here)
(the boot version of this looks nice too)
Saw these on Shoe Shebang of which I consider a great site for looking at ladies shoes (how come there isn’t a site for mens shoes??? Oh yeah, its called Sneakers and Shoes lol). I guess this would sort of be a diggin in the crates blog considering that the post by Shoe Shebang was a while ago… but whatever…
And if you like that, you should take a look at this:
Now that is interesting… the lady wearing those must have some style balls for it.

Diggin In The Crates: Bun B Track for Black Friday
(as seen originally on Nicekicks.com)
Usually when I am diggin’ in the sneaker crates, I go back at least 5 months ago from either my own blog posts or various other sites (including Sneakerfiles, Kicks on Fire, and The Shoe Game to name a few), but I just had to remind you folks of this… its just cool.
Yeah, I know, I am sure there are other way cooler things that have happened over the past month (including the hyper reaction toward the release of the CDP 11 + 12… man you should have seen the stories and comments about getting that pack LMAO) but I just wanted to remind people of just how cool the idea of coming out with a sneaker that no one has seen become something to line up for… and make a song over… it just sends things to another level.
I don’t know if 2009 will be a good sneaker and shoe year, but I do look forward to these custom design hypefest releases that I think will take over the sneaker game (I think the shoe game has always had custom releases… but not many people focus on that… well until I came around lol)
Sneaker Companies Sponsoring Birthday Parties?
(its Terrence J holding some Rockports back in April 2008)
While looking for past posts from my blog and others for my Digging in the Sneaker Creates post, I came across this lovely picture of a pair of casual shoes from Rockport.

(its Angel Luv standing next to some new Rockports)
Just look at those shoes…
You know, I was not aware (or maybe just didn’t pay attention to) the fact that sneaker and shoe companies sponser celebrity parties. Even have a “red carpet” type walk in and such.
I must be slow cause I think this has been happening for a while. Anyway, here are a couple more shots where you actually see what the people are wearing on their feet:
(dancing Teyana wearing Jordan Spiz’ike “Do The Right Thing”)
(looks like Lil Wayne is checking his fresh… Converse Hi-tops)

(what’s Ciara wearing on her feet? I recognize those shoes)
So far I think we have seen Spizike’s, Converse’s, Rockport’s and grown and sexy shoes for the ladies…
I think I will end…. yes, I will end on this note. For more pictures of celebs parting it up from a few months ago, visit The YBF.com
Diggin In The Crates: Converse All Star Suede as seen on Sneakernews.com A Year Ago
(as seen on sneakernews.com)
With all the releases, previews, one shots, limited editions, hyper limited edition, quick strikes, wishlists, and so forth, allot of sneakers and shoes get lost in the mix. So its about time to start looking back at what people were (and wasn’t) talking about. So not only will I be digging through my own blog posts over the past year and a half, I will be looking at what other sneaker blogs have looked at as well as some stuff I liked that came out years ago but is still freakin fresh (at least to me of course).
