Diggin In The sneaker Crates: CLARKS DESERT BOOTS AUCTION FOR CHARITY
Way back when it was 2009, Clarks worked with different designers artist and such to celebrate their 60th anniversary. Look at some of the pictures, they sure came up with some interesting costume Clarks.
As you can imagine, I am particularly fond of the one Anna Heylen designed of which has the high heel shoe painted on the side of the Clarks. Best of both worlds.
Here is some detail on some of the participants:
All participants voluntary customized the Clarks Originals Desert Boot. They are a few of the millions of fans that have collected the laced shoe over it’s 60 years. Best known are probably Bob Dylan and band members of The Beatles, Oasis and Arctic Monkeys. According to illustrator Piet Paris, soon Lilly Allen will walk around in his pair of customized boots. His young edition of the classic shoe is inspired by her. Karen van de Kraats’ design is called ‘ABOUT’. She used the shoes to write all kinds of facts about the desert on them. The Belgian all-round creative Franky Claeys got his inspiration from fata morganas and dazzled the shoe with pieces of mirror. A list of all participants included their inspiration and CV is enclosed with this press release.Source: Sneaker Freaker

Looks like Puma got something for us this summer… Jovi Rockwell’s PUMA photoshoot and video shoot
(its gotta be the shoes)
Man, I swear Nike better watch it’s back cause not only is Reebok trying to make a comeback (and using fitness for the ladies to do it… yes they did that bfore, remeber the Freestyle?), but Puma is trying to get back in the game of being the sneaker you will see just as often as you see Nike.
But can they do it?
They are teaming up with Jovi Rockwell for their summer blitz. Personally i have never heard of Jovi until now, but she has been out for a hot minute and best of all she sounds good too. Justr watch the video:
More pictures and junk on The 305.com HERE (shout out to the 305!!! they won’t admit it but they got mad sneaker love, just look at the pictures they have on the site lol)
Jordan says STOP cmplaining about quality… BIN23 is coming
(does better materials make this sneaker look better)
You know its sorta funny that the first sneaker the show for this new program designed to be the answer to peoples complaints about Jordan sneaker quality is one of the worst looking of the whole Air Jordan line up. I mean wasn’t it those very same AJ2′s that almost made MJ himself hurl? Granted there are very few colorways that make up for the over all look of this kick but its still one of the worst looking and probably close to last in performance too…
So why did they pick this one first? Not sure. haven’t seen any other BIN23 kicks being shown so I have to say that this is done on purpose. Does the materials make the sneaker look better? Seems so at least from the pictures.
Details:
“BIN23 is an example of how you can make a small pinnacle experience. We’re starting this BIN23 concept that we’ll run for the year, and it’s basically just taking a look at things that never came out. We have this bin of just great things that we’re going to hand off to the consumer and let them experience. We have this very cool branding and experience around it that we feel really good about. It’s not going to be on the broader level of a release like the Space Jams, but it’s kind of like a smaller energy that’s comparable in size. We’re really excited about that. We’ll take that through the Retro filter, and it’ll be a colorway and material elevation.”
Source: Sole Magazine
Can’t wait to see my all time favorite Air Jordan (the AJ14′s) get the BIN23 treatment as well as others. I guess this could be a very good idea… and if they throw in some collaberations, it will make it all the better.
Can’t wait till the sneakernets start talking about these.
First seen on Sole Magazine and can also be seen HERE as well on SneaKerFreaker.
Air Jordan 2010… they are really REALLY pushing this one…

(there’s that circle again… LOL)
Man, I meant to already have a wrap-up of what brand Jordan is doing to promote this Air Jordan 2010 sneaker from explaining the design and why and what that window is to the specail display booth at the All Star game… even the 25 anniversary seems to want to push the latest top of the line Jordan.
here are some of the screenshots of the Nightmare Never Sleeps promo game promoting Dwayne Wade and the Air Jordan 2010
Daft Punk Dunks by Brass Monki
(don’t even know what Daft Punk is lol)
I swear Brass Monki by Daniel Reese makes some of the most jaw dropping custom work I have seen. It costs 250 Euros… which basically means that in US dollars it will be $350+ which is pretty crazy, but just look at it. Its worth it.
ADIDAS TREFOIL HI… is ridiculously high
(I love it… but how would you wear them?)
Seriously… how would you wear these??? lol I am guessing with shorts or something but not sure how pants would work. Can you imagine someone on a scateboard wearing them? They look good though, that is for sure and fashion forward is the only category they belong in. Can’t wait to see someone wearing these bad boys… not my style though lol
Nike Snowboarding x Arbito – Zoom Force 1 Boot… because Pharrell likes to snowboard
(not even on the slopes would I wear these… but they do look nice)
Sneakernews.com posted this a few weeks ago and I have to say they are pretty good looking BUT there would be no way on Earth that I would wear them. Its just not my style but apparently it fits Pharrell quite nicely because he managed to work it out.
I am sure even on the slopes, these would look rather tame. I had some loud snow gear in my time and it looked pretty nice in the snow background so I don’t think these look that crazy… in the snow.
But I still wouldn’t wear them lol WAY too much going on. I would, if I could, add them to my collection and totally admire the artwork on them. Once I have totally appreicated them art wise, I would eventually give it away to charity (or auction it off to charity) because shoes are meant to be worn sooner or later, right?
No release info. ARBITO website is HERE.
NIKE X Transformers Sports Label = Old Story but Still Made A Post About It
(I still want this freakin thing)

Custom Kicks And Half Naked Chicks… From Casey Customs
(so what do you think about the custom kicks in the pic?)
These are some interesting custom kicks. The company was founded in 2007 out of Philly. You can visit the site HERE if you want to take a look at what they got. They got music on the site so watch yourself if you are at work.
As for the face… well, I bumped into this while playing around with a app maker website while looking up flash screens for the app… I searched sneakers and this is what I got.
The young lady’s site is HERE and be careful cause its NOT SAFE FOR WORK… lets just put it that way lol
Jezign Bubble Cloud… not as bad as I thought PART 2
(looks REAL good at night coming off a motorcycle)
I think its about time this sneaker got a freaking review… don’t you think? It came out last year and it was… well, it just seemed like a bad idea, but a few celebs signed on and they got some attention.
Now that I got them in my hands i have to say they are a pretty decent pair of kicks (but boy are they bulcky lol). Review piece coming right up on the main website Sneaker and Shoes (yes I have a master plan for all of this 2 website thing lol)
Jezign Bubble Cloud… not as bad as I thought
(its actually not that bad)
I thought this was really not going to work, but I bought a pair on what I would call a “SUPER SALE” price at 30 bucks. Anyway to make a long story (soon to be posted/featured on the main site) they did not disapoint and if I knew they would be this cool, I would have had no problem paying the original price.
pikachu – Custom Dunks by Daniel Reese
(yes I admit I watched the damn show for years lol)
Man, this guy does the FRESHEST sneakers (but that exchange rate is killing me right now lol). He did this a while back, but I just have to represent for all my Pikachu’s out there. you know who you are!
Diggin’ In The Sneaker Crates: Custom Kicks – 808Heartbreak By emmanuelaboR
(now that’s something I would get easy… well, for the right price that is lol)
Simple, to the point and wow. This is something I would buy and sit next to my 808 CD case (who bus CD’s any more? lol ok, ok, I would get the CD case just to sit it next to the shoe)… just diggin in those sneaker crates… Febuary 2009 on Nikealk (click HERE)
Diggin’ In Those Sneaker Crates: The Puma Winner Pack

Did you get these back when they came out? Well, did you? Aren’t you a winner? lol Just digging in those sneaker crates… March 2009 on Sneakerfiles.com
Save A Sneaker: Air Jordan XV SE
(BP of NikeTalk just saved the AJ XV SE)
A sneaker or shoe can be saved (most of the time) by a change in how the colorway is done. Here is another example of what could have made a sneaker come from just being something that you get because you couldn’t get something else Vs. actually wanting the product. Here BP shows us what could have been with the Air Jordan XV SE. The SE has a few great points with it that I liked (especially technology wise), but the colorways was a no go for most of them.
Would you get these if they came in this colorway?
Lebron Gives A Nod To Jordan – LeBron VII Cool Grey
(I can get behind this)
Why do this? Why the hell not? And it looks really good. This is most likely a collectible. In fact I would say it’s no question that this is a collectible.
I do hope though that it doesn’t show up every time there is a new release of this signature sneaker, but I can get with it if they decide to do it that way (I just won’t like it lol).
More info on Sneakernews… and who is this Kinstor guy? Kinstor is making waves on the sneakernets with these pics much like another guy did a couple of years back (look at the name on the pic in the link). Hope it doesn’t end badly… just like that other guy a couple of years back.

Diggin In The Sneaker Crates: Half Naked Goodness Has Hit The Net
(nobody is liking the model, but loving the sneakers lol WTF???)
Only on the internet can you have a debate like that. Remember when these pics came out? The comments on KicksOnFire and NiceKicks alone was crazy (and they weren’t the only sites that posted the pics). For me the model looks just fine, but I am guessing that the guys (and some women) wanted a model with more… something?
I think that maybe it was the clothes (or non-clothes) in the picture. Or maybe it was the angles the shot was taken. All I know is that the shots that suggested sex and womanhood did better than the half naked woman who is seemingly wearing sneakers.
I know one thing though… It would have been nice to see some women in this who had some more curves. Where my full figured women at?
Just digging in the sneaker crates… March 29 2009
Diggin In The Sneaker Crates: Rainbow Attack 2008
There was a point that in 2008 where we would see sneakers in some fantastically crazy colorways. Eastbay (in the catalog and online) started a whole section dedicated to the colors. At this moment while I am typing, I am trying to find my old Eastbay catalogs just to show you guys how crazy it got.
But I am sure those who got the catalog from 2008 already know what I am talking about.
So just how crazy did it get?
