Sneakernews.com posted this a few weeks ago and I have to say they are pretty good looking BUT there would be no way on Earth that I would wear them. Its just not my style but apparently it fits Pharrell quite nicely because he managed to work it out.
I am sure even on the slopes, these would look rather tame. I had some loud snow gear in my time and it looked pretty nice in the snow background so I don’t think these look that crazy… in the snow.
But I still wouldn’t wear them lol WAY too much going on. I would, if I could, add them to my collection and totally admire the artwork on them. Once I have totally appreicated them art wise, I would eventually give it away to charity (or auction it off to charity) because shoes are meant to be worn sooner or later, right?

Brand Jordan has a hit on their hands and they know it. The air Jordan 16.5 looks like something any basketball player (or casual wearer for walking around in the streets) can get with. Need a light? Need a light that thinks for your feet? Nike thinks so. Nike made 3 different types of “lunar” for you. This one is the LunarElite (the others are LunarSwift and Lunar Glide). Finishline also has them (but they don’t look the same for some reason).
NikeStore display for the new kicks is pretty fantastic. I don’t like NikeStore over use of flash but in this case it works really well (in fact Nike has improved its site sometime in the last few months and now uses less flash than before).

You will never guess what is on sale at NikeStore.com??? Ok, you got me. Its the Air Jordan 2009 Men’s Basketball Sneaker. Its not only still on sale, but the price has been almost cut in half. Many on the sneakernets (including myself) put down these kicks. As it stand right now with me, the main reason why I am still upset is because the colorway I would LOVE to see was not released (probably wasn’t even in the cards… only BP of NikeTalk gave me hope)
Make no mistake though, the sneaker is top tech all the way. I have been in sneaker hibernation for the year so far. It was looking like it would stay that way unless something I really wanted came down the pike (like those re-re-release of the Eggplant Foams coming in March for $200) but I may get these. Can’t hurt at $110 bucks
