Even TechCrunch (a technology blog) Loves Vibram Five Finger Shoes
(well, I first seen it on TechCrunch but its really on CrunchGear…. big difference lol)
And how did such a post do on a technology and gadget blog? It did very well (191 comments so far) and it spurred a second post as well on running later on here. I almost think that the one person I saw wearing them after the post was made was wearing them because of the post on CrunchGear… but I didn’t get a chance to ask him so I will never know.
I guess I gota make a list of these new wave footwear that has been coming out as of late. Between MBT, Skechers (and their MTB look alike), and Vibram “feet you wear… literally” sneakers, it looks like technology for the feet is still moving forward.
I know I am going to give that Vibram a shot. $70+ dollars seems a little expensive for something that you just want to try out, but I will give them a shot and report back.
(remember we weren’t born with shoes… its true lol)

Second place was the AJ 11 (unless I counted wrong) and 3rd was the AJ V’s. Many mentioned more than one Air Jordan (even 3) as the best instead of just one but over all it was the Air Jordan 8 that came up the most.
What’s funny about that pick is that is is know that Micheal Jordan had some problems playing in that pair (at least that is what was said about them). So something that may not have worked on the court as well seemed to be well received at least on this forum post.

Nike iD Air Max 2009+ has Arrived… but the sneakernets reaction is a blank stare

The Air Max 2009+ (the most comfortable sneaker I have EVER worn beating out the Reebok DMX 10 as the most comfortable sneaker) has come to Nike iD and the sneaker blogs made sure their peoples knew about it.

Nike HyperMax Cancelled…. and the sneakernets go crazy

I can’t say that I agree with many of the people on the internet with the cancellation. I think the HyperMax Mcfly look aweful. Its looks odd, the colors seem to make a sneaker that originally looks good, actually looks bad in this scheme and… I just don’t know. It just looks wrong to me.

People just love this colorway. I love it too, but not on the Hypermax. I think it works better on the Hyperize though.
So call me crazy (or whatever your thinking right now about me lol) but I think I know why they cancelled it… cause it looks ugly.
One thing I do want to come out is those Tennis Ball Hypermax’s. No reason to cancel that, just keep it limited and I will be happy (that is if I can get them)

I first saw this t-shirt on Nicekicks (I think) and I have to admit that I really was like “I got to get this t-shirt”. Then I started seeing other t-shirts that really spoke to the people who are into sneakers and shoes. People who are sneakerheads and people who aspire to be sneaker heads but might not take itas far would love these type of t-shirts.
I don’t know if this was the first one to represent footwear freaks and the sneaker community, but its the first one I remember and only second to “I Got 99 Proboblems But My Kicks Aint One” by Sneaktip

Those are my notables, but you have to check out The Shoe Game for more… what I see that is the most interesting is that the Air Jordan VI are coming in Varsity Red as well as Infrared… maybe the Varsity Red Vs. Infrared Debate the sneakerweb had helped JB to second guess just a varcity red AJ VI.
Another interesting release will be the Air Jordan Fusion Force 8. Considering the unholy drama that the AJF 13 created, and the rumor that there will be only 2 more of these fusions after the AJF 13, makes what the AJF 8 will look like under some pressure and will be recieved. I am not part of the crowd who thinkgs that all of these Air Force One and Jordan fusions are bad. I actually think its good and in particular great for the younger generation who didn’t really see Jordan play but can be apart of the history IN THEIR OWN WAY.
I will say it again for the hard of reading (LOL): there is nothing wrong with the AJF series and in fact lets a new generation share in the history of Nike as well as Air Jordan
So it will be interesting to see these AJF 8′s leak onto the sneakerwebs and see how people react to it.
So so is the rest of the sneakerweb reacting to the pre-release info?
This is where it gets even more interesting. The comments on popular sneaker blog sites where people tend to make their thoughts known can be insightful, but usually are either striaght to the pointor just plain hilarious. Gotta check those comments.

You know I just love reading comments and seeing videos from people who love (or no love) what they get. Nightwing2303 gave us a look at a pair of sneakers he purchased from VMV Inc online. It is a good video of the sneaker if you wanted even more views of them.

Sorry about my lack of enthusiasm lol! That is what I sound like when I am excited… Im just real laid back. If I saw MJ himself in the flesh, on the inside I would be acting like an Nsync fan who just had Timberlake’s sweat drip on their shirt but on the outside I stay fairly reserved. I was excited however but also slightly disappointed the more I had inspected them. There are quite a few things that didnt sit right with me, the warped ankle area was just the most obvious. There were glue marks on the patent area, the leather on the heal had been put on a little sloppy AND the side panel of one of the shoes already had a fat crease on the patent leather?!?! How do you crease the SIDE of the damn shoe? Anyways, I am happy I got them since I had spent all my hard earned savings for the concords back in ‘01 (I was in high school so I was broke) so I missed the Jams… and I still “miss” them now like someone else said on here, they arent really space jam XIs they are retro XIs in a black varsity royal and white makeup. But F-it I just love shoes.
So that’s that.
I was going to get 2 pair of these Space Jams but I agree that quality is down with JB. Now its true that not every sneaker is going to be made perfectly (they must make thousands of these so a pair or 2 will be messed up), I do think there is a consistent quality (or lack thereof) that has been going on with Jordans (retros specifically).
Space Jams releasing in December?
I hoe to see a confirmation of this. Otherwise I think they are coming out on Black Friday in November. But Nike has surprised us in the past (black on black Half Cent Penny’s anyone?) so i guess its a wait and see.

I am sure those who design magazines, layouts, bags, logos, website designing and anybody who has played with Photoshop and other image programs have knowledge of the Pantone colors. Back in Febuary of 2009 (this year) you could have put tht on your own feet thanks to SeaVees.
SeaVees celebrates the founding of Pantone and the release of the first PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM. For the first time in their 45 year history and through an exclusive agreement, Pantone has allowed an exter nal design team into their hallowed archives. SeaVees cofounders Steven Tiller and Derek Galkin selected seven vintage colors from the original Pantone color guide.

Wow… $460 Bucks For The Air Jordan 11 SPACE JAM

Is $460 too much to, not only get yours first, but to ensure you get them at all? There were some complaints about the price and it being so far above the original $175 (which is also higher than the original cost of the AJ11′s) but I would conclude that this is one special sneaker release and people want the early beat on these sneakers.

And in NYC you have the Labor Day parade and all the parties the few days before the parade. That’s a whole lot of showing off your swagger (gawd I hate that word).
I wish/hope that Brand Jordan makes sure that there are enough AJ11′s to buy even though it is a limited release. I had no problem getting the “quickstrike” and “limited” of a few Jordans (which made me wonder if quickstrike and limited means the same thing anymore), but I just hope that when they say limited for the AJ11, what it really means is “hurry up and get to the store but you don’t have to stand online”.

Just Beautiful… Gourmet Spring and Summer Line Up For 2010

Gourmet is done with doing tributes to Jordan… and is making some crazy nice looking fashion moves for 2010. There is almost nothing bad I can say about any of the sneaker that came off of Sneakernews.com website via Hypebeast.
But will the people like this?
Sneakernews as of late has been getting more people to comment on the site, so the idea that only 3 people said anything isn’t a good sign, BUT all of them were positive of which is a pretty good sign.
I am almost sure that most people who visit many sneaker sites are not interested in commenting on sneakers that are not Nike or Jordan (which is too bad) so with that said (written) its possible that the 3 current comments represent what people think about them.
Anyway, plenty of shots on Sneakernews so check them out.

I am this close in making this the official sneaker to represent the Save-A-Sneaker lol I swear what in the colorway hell is this?
I will admit I love the idea of a one piece and I think Gourmet (with those tribute sneakers to Jordan that had a love/hate reaction) also thought it was a good idea enough to do it. Its too bad that they didn’t or maybe its good that they didn’t with safety orange as a colorway.
I love how sneaker (and shoe) companies push the envelop. I hope my criticisms don’t scare them into not taking chances (like my blog is that popular lol) but this right here has to be one of the less-better idea.
