New LeBron VII! Now With Flywire!

You know LeBron had his down moments this year loosing to Dwight Howard’s team in the finals, and that terrible display of sportsmanship for not shaking hands for the winners and no press conference (and some crap about winners don’t like to loose… winners don’t like to wine about losing either), but this maybe his comeback sneaker.
Not only is it using flywire but it seems to also be using the new Air Max bag. What, no more Zoom? No more double stacked Zoom either? Not sure if that is a good move but I will have to wait for more info. I have to admit my Air Max 2009+ is FAR more comfortable than the Air Max 360 (and that is saying allot because the 360 was pretty comfortable).
I wonder if Brand Jordan is watching… can’t even IMAGINE a Air Jordan line with a Air Max cushion for comfort.
And here is another strange thing that may not last too long… the LeBron branding Lion isn’t anywhere to be seen.

Okay… ummmmm… I love the idea for this project. The pack currently consists of 4 sneakers – the AJ1, AJ 3, AJ 2009, and the Six Rings.
It is sort of obvious why those particular sneakers were chosen. The Six Rings is more obvious, as well as the AJ 1 (first Air Jordan), and the AJ III (if you know some of the Jordan history, you will know that the AJ III almost didn’t happen). But the AJ 2009 seems a little bit of an odd pick. Other than being the last Air Jordan made, I don’t find the connection to the Hall of Fame very light ESPECIALLY since the last Air Jordan doesn’t carry a number after it, it carries the year it came out.
That ends the good news about this pack.

UnderArmour Make Its Way To Basketball

Under Aurmor is trying its luck in the basketball area. Now you know Nike dominated the basketball areana, but the biggest thing UA got going for it is that its for the “true atheletes” who really want to perform. In other words if you got UA on, you are really into staying in shape (and by the way, don’t mess with me because I wil beat the crap out of you… yeah, I am THAT healthy)
The question I have is that will that same strategy work on the court? I like the way it looks, and I don’t have many questions about performance because…. well, its Under Armour, of course it performs lol… but I think AU needs to brng better game if its wants to break into the basketball area. This looks is cool, but I think they need a knock out looks that performs. This aint it, but I don’t doubt that they will come up with something that is just straight heat.

The new version looks very nice. Not too sure about the air bag at the end but you can’t get everything you want. Overall it is very well done. Don’t know the tech behind the new sneaker other than it is using Fly-Wire technology and it has air. The patent leather add-on makes it sound like this is more for play than for training but I am sure that won’t stop people who want to look great while working out from wearing them.
Lo-Tops Get Some Play for Hyperdunks for Spring 2010

I am guessing its not just Kobe who are asking Nike to make some professional lo-top basketball sneakers for serious players. I am guessing this because I would have never imagined the Hyperdunk being a lowtop (even though the Kobe IV seems to be some veriation of the Hyperdunk anyway).
One question though, should the colorway that is so exclusive such as the McFly hyperdunk be sold to the general population as a low top?

I am ALMOST back to posting at a normal pace (still working on the new website and revanp of this blog) but as I posted on my twitter account, I will be posting some stuff this week and posting at least a few times a week until I get this website thing out the door. The 2 things I try to post as often as possible is what’s on sale now (that maybe isn’t getting as much attention) and what is going on in the blog world of sneakers or shoes from all across the internet… what the hell does that mean? It means looking at what some of my favorite sneaker (and shoe) blogs are doing, what’s going on in the culture of footwear, going crazy over the comments that people leave on the sites and way more.
