HD Nike sneaker commercial featuring Jim Larer
(those sneakers at the end should look familiar… right?)
Diggin In The Sneaker Crates: Nike AF1 25th Anniversary – Crafting the Perfect One on Highsnobiety.com
(oh man I like this… not sure what I would wear it with though)
As seen back in 2006 of December on Highsnobiety.com (that’s right, December 2006!!! Expect more of these blast from the past posts haha) These are some real smooth sneakers. There were 2 more pair shown on the blog post that would be easier to find something to wear with them (the other 2 were all white… but a little boring)

Prosponed :_-( S and S Sunday Sports
Oh no!!! How are you guys going to find out whether or not if sneakers were harmed or shoes were hurt. I can tell you that no shoes were hurt (well maybe grazed a little) but there were sneakers harmed in the mix.
And yes I have another footwear related song for you, videos and maybe an interview (but that might not make it for this issue).
At any rate, expect to see a really late edition to come out on Tuesday Wednesday.
P.S.
I am working on some really cool stuff and a redesign of the site as well so stay tuned for that also.
1980 Incredible Hulk Kid Power Commercial
(I totally remember this commercial!!!)
(if the Hulk throw a frisbee, woouldn’t it have killed the kid cathing it?)
Ok, This Is The Joint – Nike Air Force 1 x Huarache Hybrid
(as seen on everyblog everywhere cause they so freakin HAWT)
(thank you Weeklydrop and Sneakerfiles for this one!!!)
Oh course I still have just on critisims… where exactly is the Huarache part of this sneaker???? lol I guess that would be my one problem with this sneaker. A Huarache patch and a symbol through the ice does not a huarache make. Maybe there is some detail I am not reading that makes these more huarache than they look… but I aint seein’ it lol
Other than that, these things are freakin AWESOME (I told myself to stop saying that word but its the first thing that comes to my mind). Clean white and the transucent light blue sole just sets it off so nicely it makes you cry. Its suppossed to release this summer (or spring) of this year. Hopefully it will not be one of those quick strike numbers they pull on us (although I will admit it should be limited but just not super limited… like thos 1/2 Hybrid Penny’s right?)
You are going to want to see more pictures so head toward the Weekly Drop for more info. Via Sneakerfiles.com

(ladies do you get this sneaker heel?)
The Ufo Wedge Sneaker $195.00
Tennis shoes wear car rubber
(who calls sneakers tennis shoes anymore??? lol @ Autoblog for that)
These tennis shoes (of which, by the way, are made to be used… get this… for tennis… but I am just saying who says “tennis shoes”?) are made of rubber from a tire. Will this work or will it just get a so-so reaction like the Pony and PPG clear-coat paint on a sneaker? (Of which I liked, by the way, because it did what many sneaker companies try to do with patent leather all the damn time.)
Here is a quote from Autoblog.com:
With a tennis player’s movements centered around “acceleration, braking, grip and relaunch” on a variety of different surfaces, the Michelin R&D lab probably had a good idea of what kind of rubber was needed. Michelin mated rubber technology from its auto racing programs with a revised version of its Optimized Cell System that uses seamless circular micro-cells inspired by rally racing tires. The result is said to be exceptional grip and durability. And if it’s good enough for Sebastien Loeb, there’s a good chance it’s good enough for the U. S. Open…
The sneaker are limited. I would have to say that if you are collecting sneakers (and shoes) you might want to get your hands on this. Will Nike ever do a collabo with Micheline or PPG? The world may never know.
PS
I hope Pony does that PPG thing again… i missed out last time, but won’t do that again if they re-release some fresh ones. Definaitly a collectible because of the car paint fresh on them… crazy.
A New Nicekicks.com????
(hold on to your seats kiddies, the game just got a little deeper)
(mad people signing up for the community too)
According to the twitter for Nicekicks, they are still working on the final bugs and such. I already signed up and I am on like the page 13of signed in users lol They just changed this up today. Man, it looks like everybody doing a little redesigning as of late. The Shoe Game and Sneakerfiles.com did a recent change as well. Is everybody getting ready for the Summer?
NO POLITICAL POSTS… but this was too funny to pass up
(you gotta see the whole picture)
(are those Air Jordans he’s wearing?)
Color Change Puma???? When did This come Out?
(while I am no crazy about the particular colorway, the idea is fresh)
The video was done in 2007 so I will have to do a search and see what the deal is…
This might be one of those Diggin In The Sneaker Crates posts… stay tuned

Save-A-Sneaker: Air Jordan 2009 (With Promo Video) – White/Black
(probably one of the best designed sneaker out… buy who’s buying them?)
I think I saw one person in them since they been out. One person. Now the funny thing is that I didn’t see that many people in the Air Jordan 23′s last year either, but since they were sold out almost everywhere you went, I had to assume that it was because of the following reasons:
- The sneaker were so popular that people were afraid to wear them
- No one wanted to mess them up, so they didn’t wear them
- Hypebeasts bought them up so that they could sell them on eBay for a profit leaving everybody else with stores sold out of merchandise
Nevertheless with the Air Jordan 2009, the sneaker just stays on the store racks. Sizes 7 – 13 are still available at most places. I think these sneakers deserve a review by one of the sneaker blogs out there but its not likely to happen… maybe I will ask and see if one of them will do it, but in the end, the only thing that will save this sneaker is some colorway changes.
(are you kidding me? Nike/Jordan, please make this colorway!!!)
I have said it before and I will say it again, sometimes a colorway can save – a – sneaker. As many people have commented over the sneakernets, this sneaker looks like it has a heel. And yet I bet they put their money out for this colorway (or any colorway that has has a classic look or some history behind it). What’s your opinion? Would you get the Air Jordan 2009 if it was in the colorway above?
PUMA Introduces The L.I.F.T. Sneaker
(need a l.i.f.t.?)
Don’t exactly get what Puma is trying to achieve here… flexibility maybe? Fun? Dancing? People somehow sliding across the stage (aka life)? Nice. Well, IF YOU BELIEVE THE NEXT COMMERCIAL, of which I don’t… for now… then I guess Lift will be the lightest thing you ever put on your foot.
(I need someone to confirm this one lol)
S & S Sports EXTRA – Micheal Jordan Cries, Freshmen Step Up, And Superman Has A Baby
Look what happened by the time some of us went to bed 9or was still at work):
Freshman steps in, Mizzou beats Marquette 83-79 (with video!!!)
The Missouri freshman was brilliant through all of it—and never more clutch than when he came off the bench to “pinch shoot” for the injured J.T. Tiller with 5.5 seconds left Sunday.
English made both free throws to give the Tigers the go-ahead points in an 83-79 victory over Marquette.
Yes, folks, this is how stars are born in the NCAA tournament.
“He was sitting there auditioning for it,” Missouri coach Mike Anderson said. “Kim, he just gave me that look, and sometimes you just have that feeling and he went up and shot the ball well.”

Griffin show storms into Sweet 16 (also WITH VIDEO lol)
Late in Saturday’s game, as Oklahoma’s Blake Griffin stepped to the free-throw line, a heckler began taunting the nation’s best player.
“Hey Griffin!” the fan said. “Guess what! You’re not Superman!”
Zack Novak may have a different opinion. He, after all, was the Michigan player who Griffin soared over for a posterizing dunk that’s sure to be replayed thousands of times on YouTube, “SportsCenter” – and in Novak’s nightmares.
“Honestly, I’m kind of numb to that stuff now,” said Taylor Griffin, Blake’s brother and teammate. “That’s just what he does. It’s always something big. It can’t just be a normal dunk. He has to bring the house down.”
The Sprint Center crowd went bananas when Griffin flexed his muscles after the slam – and things really got loud about 10 minutes later, when the final horn sounded in Oklahoma’s 73-63 victory.

And yes, this is another video that you must watch. Man these play offs this year just seems to be the best in the lst few years to me for some reason. could be wrong though…
Jordan’s son wins state championship
And finally and probably will be the most talked about story on the sneaker blogs, Micheal Jordan’s son (and team of course) wins the state championship. I guess his sneaker credit just went up.
(looks like a sneaker got hurt in the fight)
One sneaker harmed, no shoes hurt… those Wolverine sneakers that are suppossed to come out later this year will feel the pinch. No doubt it would have had more value if the Wolverines went all the way or close to it.
Now This Is Bright – Leaders1354 x Nike Huarache 2K8
(ummmm… not too sure about this one)
As seen on Nicekicks.com
S&S Sports Sunday: Refs Miss A Timeout, One Small NCAA Player, And A Sign Nazi
Ref miss the timeout call
(would it have mattered??? maybe)
She is the shortest player on the team at 4’6″ and SHE GOT GAME
(she wears a size 1 Air Jordan in case you were wondering)
Guard Cold Snatched John 3:16 Poster From Fan
(did you see how he came up on him like in stealth mode and snatched that joint?)
Another week has past and we have some crazy stuff to talk about. For example would have Kentucky had any chance of winning the game if they called the time out with .9 second left? Maybe. The other team won by 2 points so why not? But with both teams wearing Nike sneakers, I doubt Nike will care lol.
And check out home girl! 4’6″ tall and is not only on the team, she is a starter. You have to watch the video cause you will see she has allot to conquer over than just her hieght. Oh and guys, she has a boyfriend so you can stop thinking about it. I tried to see what Jordans she was wearing but the video wasn’t that clear. Damn, right now women are doing their thing on court and off court these last few weeks.
And did I mention the security guard who straight snatched the poster? I don’t know how many of you guys here are from the 80′s and 90′s but the guys he took it from looked like a herb afterwards…. He got cold jacked son LMAO His body, language looks like “Damn, he took my sign! *starts to cry*”
And then, there was more… (more…)
LOL This Is Pretty Good: Riley Lets Them Know
(oh this is real nice indeed)
(LMAO @ broken ankle/leg… Kobe better wear more socks to protect himself)

(now this is a nice shot… makes a nice wall for my Dell Mini)
As seen on Flickr in a group called Sneaker Pimps. I am telling you guys, if you don’t have a Flickr account, you should make one. Upload your pics of sneakers and let me know about it. Join a sneaker or shoe group like Sneaker Pimps (for sneakers) or Shoes (for… well shoes). I haven’t found a group that loves mens shoes so I may have to make my own… why don’t mens shoes get no love? lol
Video For NIKEiD Hyperdunks
(its nice to see a video of these sneakers)
I am a fan of the Hyperdunks, but not too into how they look. I am sure they play well though and do have a plan on getting them to play in and then I will see for myself, but as far as attractiveness they are just ok too me (except those Marty McFly Hyperdunks… AWESOME!!! Just shows wht a good colorway can do to a sneaker). Putting they Hyperdunk on NIKEiD (just in time for March Madness and April’s playoffs) for personal customization is a good idea. I will be taking advantage of it.

(the McFly is… fly)

(my own creation based off of what some guy was wearing in the subway)
(I call it Pink Diamonds by the way… really girly isn’t it?)
Nicekicks has a March Madness of sneakers votes on its website, so give that a look too. I will be posting what I voted for and how LAME everyone who vaoted against me is at a later time lol
WOULD YOU LIKE TO WIN A PAIR OF NIKE iD Pink Diamonds?
(makes a nice wallpaper, don’t it?)
Thinking I may have a contest on my little ole blog and the winner gets a pair of NIKEiD Hyperdunks in this colorway. Now of course you can make this colorway yourself, but why do that when you could possibly win one for free? And yes, the contest, if I do it, will be open to girls and boys (18 and over unless your parents will pick up the sneaker… US residents only)

Featured Comment (from the web): echo1 on Nike Air Trainer Hurache from Nicekicks.com
Featured Comments!!! Lets start this again. Sort of stopped it for a while, but I am putting it into motion again. Featured comments canbe from my site or from the many blogs across the web that I tend to cover. This is the first on in months and will not be the last. Want to schedule the Featured Comments section for Fridays, but we will see.
On the Nike Air Trainer Hurache post made by Nicekicks.com, here what is said about the site Nicekicks linked to where you can buy the kicks at:
You know, I thought it was just me when I went to that site, but now I know it is not just me. I hope JD Sports fixes that because it is hard to shop there and not get to what you want to buy.
