First Shoe Fashion Profile: Ciara

Ciara Show Style

(see here profile on Lasf.Fm)

Ciara will be the first footwear fashion profile to be followed for an entire month. Yes, you will be able to see what’s on her feet and hopefully with the limited resources I got, find out what she is wearing… on her feet. I may go into her fashion style and names but the focus is on the feet.

Ciara: Respect Here Sneaker Game

Hopefully S & S can get in contact with her team to see if I can get more of a scoop on what she got on her feet. On her Foot Fashion Watch profile will be any and all info I can muster including album info and junk like that.

The S & S Monthly Foot Fashion Watch Profiles begins (I gotta come up with a better name for this)… First up is Ciara for March (CiCi really has some game when its comes to the feet).

I’m Gonna Call It First: Purple Will Be The Color For Summer

Coming Real Soon: ???

Sold Out!!!

I keep seeing it everywhere in NYC and I think it all started with the Nike Foampisites and the need for thoes who buy such an item to get stuff that matches. Purple isn’t the usual color for NYC so when something like the Eggplant foams come out, you start to see purple. Now even the True flights have come on board… see those more and more every day.

Air Jordan Ture Flight in white and purple

Will we have the I Love NY t-shirts in solid purple now? And now the release of those crazy (not in a good way) looking 6 Rings chapionship pack… So I am calling it. Purple will be in for the summer. Will I be right? lets see.

EDIT

Even more evedence….

Sports Marketing Over? A CNBC Video

Sports Marketing Citi Staduim

(but does this marketing work?)

Since I have no idea how to plug in the video from CNBC on my wordpress.com hosted site (I will try that Vodpod option in the future) I will just post a bunch of pictures.

Could this be devistating to sports marketing (at least when it comes to banks sponcering big sports naming stuff)? I suspect Nike and adidas will come into the game… imagine Nike Staduim or Bower Staduim…

Air Jordan True Flight aka SUPER AJ7 Becoming Popular In NYC

Air Jordan Ture Flight in white and purple

(as seen on Finishline.com… get yours too for $139.99)

More and more people are wearing these super AJ 7’s, especially the ladies… I see mad ladies wearing them but the guys are close behind.

It makes me wonder what happened? At first I thought these would be on the super sales rack within 2-3 months, but people really seemed to warm up to the sneaker in NYC. Now I see them everywhere, especially on Fulton Street in Brooklyn (note that Fulton Street has many stores, many jobs where adults go to work, and many schools in the area… you can get a nice heart beat on what’s going on just by sitting in the mall for an hour).

Personally it does look good to me, but I would just rather have a pair of AJ7’s. I do suspect that there will be more SUPER Air Jordans in the future. I would like to see what the 15’s (the worst Air Jordan EVARRRRrrr) would look like redesigned.

Let the retro revolution continue….

Holy Breakdown Bat-Man!!! Nicekicks does a breakdown of the Half Cent Penny

Nike Half Cent Hybrid Theory - from NIKEKICKS.com

(as seen on Nikekicks.com)

I think anyone who is into sneaker must apprieciate this. Not only do they get a look at a sneaker (of which will cost 190 dollars not including tax) that most people, including me, will get but you also get a look at what makes the sneaker.

I will admit I do not like all the Penny’s that have come out back in the day, but this hybrid is the best of 4 worlds.

Take a look at the whole break down on Nicekicks.com… its freakin amazing!!!

Not Sure About The Look Of These: Marcus Jordan PE Exclusive

Air Jordan 9 (IX) Player Exclusive - Marcus Jordan

(as first seen on Kicks On Fire.com)

Maybe it works well with the uniform or something, or maybe its just the picture, or maybe its because I am not much of a fan of the Air Jordan IX (but the white and black one looks awesome… that’s right I said awesome, live with it), but these don’t look to nice.

By the way, I am not the only one who things this… just look at the comments on Kicks on Fire and other sites from the Fab Five of Sneaker Sites (Sneakerfiles, The Shoe Game, Nicekicks, Kicks on Fire, Sneakernews… if you are into sneakers and you are not going to those sites… then maybe you are not that into sneakers lol). And yeah that colorway is not really a good look for the 9’s (maybe different materials would help)

Maybe cause they look worn???

Nevertheless, you still have to respect the collection that Marcus has. Is it true that he has it cause his dad practically owns Nike and does own Brand Jordan? Yea, but its still an awesome (there is that word again) collection and lets face it, he didn’t have to keep them or show them to anybody.

Boy, I sure wish someone would make a page specifically for Marcus Jordan and his sneaker collection…. *HINT HINT*

So Marus, keep those shots coming!

Looks Like Sports Sunday Will have Some Interesting News

I like basketball. I also like football. I do follow track and field at times and I am into over all health and well being of the athlete in America…

With that said, there are some very interesting things going on in sports and as I am sure, some people who buy sneakers probably actually use them in sports and workouts (who knew?), would like to know what is going on.

Well here is a fun snippit tht awaits the Sneakers and Shoes Sports Sunday:

Indiana promotes manager to, yes, play basketball

What’s worse than losing to Northwestern at home? Losing to Northwestern at home immediately after promoting 5-foot-9-inch team manager Mike Santa to play reserve guard.

Wow… So how do you figure they will get out of this? I have some very uneducated opinions… but I am sure my follow readers of this blog is used to that by now lol

I wonder if Indiana has sneaker sponcers???

Here is a clip of what is going on: Read more »
