O.M.G.!!! First Look Samples Of Air Jordan 2009 aka XX4 aka 24
OMG OMG OMG!!! New sample shots of the Air Jordan 2009 aka Air Jordan 24 have been seen on the interwebzzz. The first of the Fab Four to say anything was The Shoe Game but the first to get the actual sample pics was Sneakernews.
I know when Nicekicks and Sneakerfiles gets to it, we all will get even more info on the king of all sneakers.
The sneaker has high hopes of looking great even though it may not look so great now. I like the “spring board” look of the back but i do wonder how that will translate into a working sneaker.
When do these come out? In February. How much? A whopping 190 dollars a pair. Man, that price keeps going up. I wonder if I will get a suitcase just like the 17′s? All The Black Friday Air Jordan 23 in ONE Video
Not a super detail video of each sneaker, but lets face it, you already know what it looks like, and what it feels like. If you read my blog here you already know how I feel about patent leather all over the place, but I think it works here somewhat… I still wish it was just regular white leather.
Either way, I am defiantly getting the Motorsports. If I get another pair (and its highly likely that I will) it will be the white red and black aka Bulls. The Bulls is actually the best looking one out of the 3 that will released. Too bad it will be limited.

NBA Top Ten for Monday the 24
You know, people do wear sneakers to play in, believe it or not lol I’m thinking about every so often going into the sports world and see what these basketball,track, and other sports notables who have sneakerlines are up to. Maybe I’ll call it Sunday Sports Wrap-Up or the Wednesday Wake-Up.
Anyway, NBA Top Ten for Monday is here, (but something is missing… unless I am wrong). Can you spot all the sneakers? A few players names were dropped in the video, that’s for sure.

Rant – Micheal Jordan: Why Did You Put Out The Bred AJ11 Instead of the Concord For The Countdown Pack?

I was mad when the AJ countdown Pack 20 + 3 colorways were made known and it ended up not only not putting out the white and red III’s (they put out the black and grey of which wasn’t too bad, just disappointing) but they put out this… I don’t know what that XX’s “Black Cat” was… as part of the pack.
I wanted that3+12 pack, but after that, I changed my mind.
Now we come to the Air Jordan Countdown Pack 11 + 12… What the @%$#??
As the last pack and probably the most significant one, why not put out the Concord AJ11′s? Why the Bred’s?

I am very upset that I am not getting my Concords. The internet sneaker blogs are abuzz with comments for this countdown pack and the Bred’s as to how much it is well liked. I am not against the Bred AJ11 and if I do decide to get this pack, it will probably be worth it, but I really think the concord AJ11 would have been a total hit (along with a BRED AJ12 or a white and red AJ12… but lets face it, the best colorway for the 12′s is what they are putting into the pack lol)

Its a nice pack, please do not get me wrong, but the concords should have been in the pack; PERIOD. Lets hope that we all can get some AJ11 concord love in some special pack that Brand Jordan may release in the future. The only problem with that is that this year was supposed to be the last year for retros for a while when it comes to Jordans, so coming out with some special pack for the general masses that includes the concord AJ 11′s seems like a bad move.
So anyway, this last pack is due in December on the 26th. I guess I’ll get it cause its the last pack… but then there is this recession thing… Already spending 400 on 2 Air Jordan 23 this Black Friday, a the Fusion 20 is another 155 so what is that 600 after taxes… ummm I got books to buy for school (I’m in grad school and its costing me a brick) and a business to start so why am I getting these? I don’t know. I just don’t know. I think I may just have to buy the OG version of the AJ11 concord.

Just in case you SOMEHOW forgot that this Friday will be a big Friday. Not only the Air Jordans and the Fusion 20′s but other sneakers as well that will be classics… but probably not as much as the Air Jordan 23.
I am going to have to dip into my savings for this one. I hope that Eastbay gets the Motorsports. I have to get that one. As for buying the other 2, I just don’t know. The other 2 are defiantly limited and will probably be hard to get anyway.
What’s funny is that I haven’t worn the AJ23′s I already bought. I was planning on doing just that, but it hasn’t worked out. Well, I am hoping that on Friday I will be earing a AJ23.
Man, my wallet is hurting… I got to visit family, get a few gifts, buy my PS3 and get Grand Theft Auto (might have to wait for that one… maybe for my birthday or something). How is it that somehow I am buying 5 pairs of sneaker before New Years starts (two Air Jordan 23′s, Fusion 20 black, 12 +11 Countdown Pack)? Fight the power! I am not sure I would have done it, and I am not even sure it was the best place to do it either, but it sure made an impact in the rough and tumble 1960′s.

Tommie Smith, an Olympian for the 1968 Olympics, won gold and while on the medal stand, he put of a fist and bowed his head. I am sure there are pictures on the net somewhere…
Anyway, these are on sale at Mita (never shopped there before, but may have to in order to get these sneakers). I do not know if they are limited or if they will show up in other shops.

Me personally, I would choose the Air Jordan 1 Retro’s. If I had the choice, I would pick the original AJ 1′s over the retros AND the AJ 6 Olympics any day of the week… even though I am not too into super high tops.
I would also like to mention that I am soooo tired of seeing patent leather on every other popular sneaker. At the time these came out, I was thinking to myself, “this is getting a little ridiculous” but it ultimately still looked good (but would have looked better without the total patent leather treatment).
Its just barely better than the original OG AJ 6 Olympics.
Anyway, so far the winner is actually not my pick but the other guy. I can only think that the main reason why people are picking the AJ6 Olympics over the AJ1 Retro is because of the patent leather. Nevertheless, for me, the AJ1 Retro still looks better but who am I? Just some blogger who is new on the scene and really interested (and opinionated) in the sneaker and shoe game.
If you want to vote, then get your vote on. I gonna try to follow up on Kicks On Fire’s voting numbers (as well as any other of my Fab Four sneaker sites that I visit) and try to round up “election results”.

Another Ultra Limited Air Jordan 23 Black and Red
WOW!!! This is great! (See more on The Shoe Game.com) I was hoping Jordan and team would come out qwith some new colorways and they did. Not only are they releasing 3 more colorways next week after Thanksgiving aka Black Friday, but somewhere in December the black and red colorway will release.
The release, sadly, will be super ultra limited to 529 pairs (Just like the Titanuims) and going to 23 stores. Expect long lines for this one, especially if we get some bigger shots of the sneaker online.
I have to say though, I am not as impressed with the colorway as I thhought I would be, but maybe it looks better in person. I am suer fine with the bottom of the sneaker, but the “DNA” part made of leather seems a little hard. Maybe if it was that soft seude like the Stealths…

The Pastry Women Are Back With Heat: Start Holiday Ad Campiagn
Make no mistake, i like Pastry. Never bought them for myself because… ahem, I’m a guy and guys just don’t wear womens sneakers LOL
Anyway, the Pastry ladies Vanessa and Angela Simmons want you to know that Pastry is ready for your feet, ass, and other body parts for the holiday season. After seeing the Pastry sneakers in person, i have to admit that they look great. I do, by the way, starting sometime next year, will be doing reviews on wear and tear of some of these sneakers (3 month, 6 month and 9 month follow-ups as well) so I will not only be able to tell you it looks great and it is a collectable, but it actually performs.

So far I have not heard to much about thiscool looking sneaker that I thought would have been released already (guess I was wrong lol). I haven’t searched the forums and sneaker sites about it yet but from what I have seen so far from the Fab Four (of sneaker sites), I have heard no mention of them.
Anyway, I know this is like the second or third time I been wondering about this sneaker, but I really want it. At least from what I can see so far, it looks pretty cool.

According to The Shoe Game, these sneakers that repesent sneakers from the past will be retro-ed for 2009. I missed out on the originals so I might get them. I always felt that the Dub-Zero’s were collectables and I think they still are even though they are not the original release. I (as well as everybody else) expect the prices to be the same as the originals (why cost more?) and there will be 3 colorways (maybe more who knows).

Is This For Real: The Miu Miu Mid Thigh Socks

These sox ROCK HARD lol You know, I am in the process of redesigning this site and what I focus on and stuff like that… yeah, so anyway the point is that I want to fit socks into the equation of my focus on the feet and footwear and this fits into my strategy just fine. I think people who are into socks as well as people who make socks are going to love me lol
So this is a design meant to do what I don’t know. It is obviously not the normal sock. I didn’t do too much research on the thing (and won’t) but I am sure it is meant for an individual to wear by itself and not with a shoe, but one never knows about these things.
You know those Air Jordan Old Love new Love you bought many moons ago? Well, these socks cost way more than that. About 10 dollars more than that (and are probably not any where near as collectible as the old love new love) would have gotten you these socks.
The “socks” are made by Miu Miu and cost $210 bucks. Miu Miu makes some other awesome shoes for the ladies, so you may want to check that out too.
On Sale: Timberland Goes With Patent Leather – Timberland Men’s 2.0 Chukka Boot

Timerland just couldn’t leave patent leather alone and had to join the patent leather band wagon. I am not a fan of patent leather being on EVERYTHING but this looks ok. This boot is obviously for the causal wearer who gets caught in the rain every once in a while and NOT for the guy chucking it on the back path in the woods… yes ironically the boot name has the word “chukka” in it but that is not the point lol
If you want the rugged timelessness of the Timberland Chukka with a touch of luxury symbolized in the patent leather, then this is the boot for you. I am sure it is just as good as any other chukka boot Timberland makes, but I am sure that this was made for the casual wearer who just goes to work and comes home.

Married To The Mob x Nike Dunk Hi = Looks Good For The Ladies
I meant to post this many moons ago when this sneaker first showed up on the internet. I like it and I think these will be popular for the ladies and the couple of guys who will wear them despite the fact that it was made specifically for the ladies.
As a person who believes in being grown, profesional and fashion savvy at the same time, I am happy to read this commonet on the design process of this sneaker:

Why Brand Jordan, why are you releasing the Air Jordan 23 Motorsports and the Fusion 20 at the same time? I was supposed to be buying my PS3 so I can get those driving action games I have been dreaming about for the past year (no I do not have GTA IV) and now I may have to put it off to get these collectibles. I really want those Fusion 20′s (I’m even falling for the “lamer” versions of the Fusion 20 aka Midnight Navy and Metallic Gold) but there is no way I can get the AJ 23 Motors and the Fusion 20 at the same time. Not to mention the fact that I want to get BOTH the Motors and the Black/RedVarsity will make it harder to also buy the Fusion 20′s
Oh well
No question that I will get the 23 Motorsports so it looks like I will be leaving the other stuff alone. But at least the Fusion 20 I really want doesn’t release until December 20, 2008

Outdoor Jackets… On Sneakers??? New Balance MTG580 “Outdoor Jacket”
I just have to… HAVE TO see these sneakers in person. they look good in the pictures seen on Sneakernews.com but I have to actually have them in my hands in order to really get a feel of them. It doesn’t really look like jacket material on the sneaker to me from the shots.
