Its been a while hasn’t it??? LOL Sorry, I had finals and other junk going on. I am backlogged in sneaker and shoe stories like you can’t believe! Still more Olympic colorways coming out, custom footwear, rants on why footwear companies don’t make sneakers with widths (and praising the companies that do), presidential sneakers/shoes and more.
And this is back to school week for my peoples in NYC so made stuff is on sale (like the Air Jordan Fusion V’s 3M of which is very popular in NYC selling for 119.99 in some stores).
I think these look really nice. Its not for me because I just wouldn’t know what to wear with this that would look good. Strangely enough though I still want it. Nobody can tell me I’m not strapped in NYC if I got these on, right?

Lisa Leslie First Team Player To Have 4 Golds Plays Her Last Olympics
I somehow missed the ladies games and in particular the gold metal game. I would have loved to see that for the last time. Lisa Leslie, along with her team, keeps Olympic gold for Team USA and for her final ceremony she wears all four golds on the podiam.
Some of the other players on the team include Tina Thomson, Candace Parker, and Kara Lawson.
Lisa Leslie: First team sport athlete (male or female) in Olympic history to win gold metals in 4 consecutive Olympic games. What an accomplishment.

Firstly I will admit that I did not know that Team USA lost for the past 8 years… I thought they had a unbroken streak. Secondly I didn’t know that Spain (or anybody outside the US) was that good. I mean Spain was gooooood. If this was an NBA final would Team USA won the best 4 out of 7?
This was a big win. And I might say, since I am grown and sexy, they were successful on AND off the court. I am very proud that they went there and really represented us in the Olympics.
You can see a whole bunch of shots, scores and other data on NBC Olympics (at least in the USA… I think others can go to YouTube to see video). You HAVE to see the pictures. I think the pictures say more than the videos.
And yes, you can see the sneakers they are wearing too in many of the shots. By the way, did anybody notice that when they were playing for the gold that you could only really see the sneakers of the USA team? LMAO On top of that, why in the world, in the OLYMPICS, did they play the theme from the NBA during the breaks? The NBA FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!! I’m watching the Olympics and I’m hearing the theme when they get to the end of the game.

Olympic Sneakers and Shoes: adidas Men’s adiStar Sprint
I saw these tonight being worn by Marshevet Hooker (she is from the University of Texas) running in lane 9 for the 200M (for those who taped the games to see later). I never liked lane 9 when I was running track, but its a mental thing I guess. In lane 9 you are basically running against yourself because you can’t see anybody and when you do, it means you’re in trouble because now your running on the outside trying to catch up with someone on the inside.
LOL, you know whats funny? Lane 1 isn’t any better because now everyone is ahead of you and you feel like your last and forgetaboutit if you don’t start passing people on the curve cause you aint caching them on the straight-a-way.
Anyway, back to the track shoes, they look ok, but they looked MADDD odd out there on the field. You can’t miss them if you are looking at the womens feet for that 200M heat. They looked like they weighed a ton.
Not sure if I would run in them, but I will admit that they look pretty cool. not great, but cool.

Nike Sportwear is officially up and running and everybody is talking about the Air Force 1 Studio ID of which, by the way, is super cool. Here is a snippet rundown of the Studio ID from Nicekicks:

The best part is about the LE ‘07 “Bird’s Nest” is that it costs only 85 Dollars. Consider yourself up to date without spending 109 dollars for Hyperdunks or 145 dollars like the 6 Rings, or 145.99 for Spizikes, or 179 for Air Jordan XX3’s, or… I think you get the point.
With all the money Nike has to be making, lets hope the drama about sweatshop factories in other countries has been settled at least somewhat (yeah I went there LMAO)

The sneaker looks ok (if it is the Puma Men’s Complete Theseus II Croc). Not great but ok. He also has a more causal sneaker that you can actually wear on the streets. There is a sneaker for Bolt based off the new Puma Cell Meio “street style” sneakers that are pretty interesting to me but I have not seen too many people wearing them.

The question is, just how fast is he? So far I, nor anyone else, has seen him push it to the limit. He has, so far, let up just before he reaches the finish line (sometimes way before). I’m not too into his show boating either, but hey I remember what I was like when I was 21… and it wasn’t grown and sexy (more like brash and reckless… ok, ok, I was a nerd but you get the point).
I hope he looses some of the show boating otherwise I think he will become the fastest and most disliked man alive.
Air Jordan Countdown Pack 5 + 18 = I Like it Allot
I was not very into this pack. I didn’t really want a pair of V’s and I didn’t really want a pair of AJ18’s either, but its grown on my ALLOT. After reading some of the comments on The Shoe Game and other sites, not many people are into the pack (sort of a 60/40 against it but there is allot of love for the V’s)

You Probably Know This Already: Air Jordan 6 Rings Released
As seen on Eastbay.com and a few other sites (Finishline and Footlocker to name a couple). The Six Ring Bred (Bread as I call them… not that I have any authority to do so LOL) is one of the most popular searches on my blog so I am guessing that these will be a sleeper hit (I say sleeper hit because there were not many nice comments about the sneaker for the most part on sneaker blog sites… sort of half and half). There is even a Digg.com post on it that actually got 52 votes, of which is surprising because Digg is a tech site fo the most part.
I have also seen many people wearing them today, even 2 couples (of which is not that common to see such a thing). People seem to really like tham and I will admit that they look WAY better in person.

Sooooo… What Was Micheal Phelps and Team Wearing On Their Feet?
The American Swimming Team (Go Team USA!!!) has made history, kept history and broke a new world record while doing it. First of all, I was totally not aware that the US swim team never lost the 400M Swim since the inception of the 400 at the Olympics.
That is ALMOST as interesting as what they were wearing on their feet (at least to me lol). I had to rewind the tape a few times (and no, they do not swim in footwear but they did walk out in them) to see them and make sure that what I was looking at was what I was looking at.
And I am still not sure lol
Well, this is what I think they had on:
The only problem here is that the sneaker I saw them wearing looked like it had the Nike swoosh on the upper, not on the midsole. Maybe its the next gen?

- Why does NBC have a chronicle ready for all to buy on its website…ready to be shipped!
- Why, even after all the attention to swimming, will their still be no Aquaman movie/tv show?
- Why do they call Micheal Phelps Superman when he is a swimmer and not Aquaman?
- WHERE DO I BUY THOSE SPEEDO SWIM SUITS????
