See what happens when you collect sneakers?

AIR-RANDY.COM Air Jordan 7 OG All Stars

Air Jordan 7 Oiginal G Release all star at Air Randy

Now how much do you think these sneakers are worth? 200? 400 dollars? Come on, these are the original release Air Jordan 7 All Star’s. This is the style the man himself wore during the All Star break. 500 right?

!!!WRONG!!!

700 dollars for these NEVER RETRO’ED classics. At the moment, they are currently sold out at Air Randy.com and I have not seen them anywhere else. Heck, I am not even sure I would trust anywhere else. Air Randy is like a sneaker fan site staple across the net. Almost every recognized (by me) and well known sneaker fan site gives props to Air-Randy. One day, I’m gonna get me something from there then I will know from personal experience.

So,would you buy a pair of sneaker now knowing that they can be resold years later for … say 1000.00 dollars USD?

You Can Still Get The Nike Dunk Hi Premium

Nike Dunk Hi Premium at Urban Outfitters

Price: $100.00

And if this one isn’t your style, they got some more Dunks for you to look at. Heck, they even got the ones based off of the colors of the Bo Jackson series of sneakers (they don’t have these yet).

I forget what sneaker site I first saw these at, so I am not sure if they are collectibles or not but they do come close in my opinion (I know the bo jackson inspired colors are collectibles though).

One Sale: Air Jordan 8 Stealth at Finishline

Finishline :: Air Jordan Mens Retro 8

(A womens version was also released as well called Ice Blue)

Air Jordan 8 Stealth

Price: $139.99

Sizes: 8-15

This is a general release so there should be many on the selves just in case you missed the release on Saturday. If you can’t find them in stores, you can defiantly find them online at stores you know and trust.

And if your still looking for the Aqua’s, well Finishline still has a few left in limited sizes (which is a little surprising considering how many people wanted this sneaker, I’m surprised any are left anywhere). It will also take a week or more to actually send them.

Finishline also has some matching Jordan t-shirts:

Jordan Men's Retro 8 Shoe Tee

Jordan Men’s Retro 8 Shoe Tee
$36.00

Jordan Men's Retro 8 Tee

Jordan Men’s Retro 8 Tee
$36.00

Usually Eastbay has more lifestyle items that match lifestyle Jordan releases. So you might want to check them out for matches.

Here is a comment from Finishline about the sneakers:

“Just like I said, theyre alright. I had the originals back in 93 (still have em)–the quality just isnt the same. For example–there was a little bit of glue seeping out along the sole of my retros and, I dont know, they just dont feel the same!! I guess a $140 shoe now isnt the same as it was 14 years ago…. My favorite shoe of all time was reissued in the original colorway and frankly it was a bit of a letdown. If you have/had the originals (when Jordans were top of the line) youll be disappointed…..”

You can see a close comparison of the original Aqua’s verse the news ones on Nicekicks.com. I do not see quality differences. I see color differences but that is about it. I personally think that if the technology was available during the time the Aqua’s originally came out that they would look like the  current retros.

But who knows… maybe the quality of the pair this guy got was bad. Lawd knows when I do a review of the Lebron Soldier, it won’t be too good due to a craftsmanship issue that I will explain later, but it still is an overall good sneaker and maybe I got a bad pair.

So what is your next move? Buy em or deny em?

Asics x Nextide Procourt Hi on Urban Outfitters

Asics x Nextide Procourt Hi

Price: $115 .00

Sizes 8-13

Can Asics sneakers look great when they are not pure running sneakers? Well here is one sneaker to prove the answer is yes… that is if you like the bottom part of the sneaker being so colorful

While it doesn’t fit my current look (therefor nothing in my wardrobe would go with this even though its mostly black), I can understand why someone would really want this sneaker. Plus it is a collaboration so if you like that sort of thing, then you’ll should like this and the history behind it.

First introduced in Japan and sold exclusively at Urban in the US, these Rockmonson designed Asics Procourts stem from the Nextide project, which celebrates universal access and unity. The velcro closure strap can be refigured to open from the right or left. Exclusive to Urban Outfitters. Imported. Spot clean.

Considering it original release in Japan and limited release here, I would say that it is a collectible. Check out more pictures at Urban Outfitters. Here is another color version of the same sneaker.

Tretorn Hockey Boot Puffer Hi at Urban Outfitters

 Tretorn Hockey Boot Puffer Hi

Isn’t that toe box crazy or what???

Price: $90.00

Sizes: 8-13

Would you guess that the picture above is something that looks good? Well it does. While I never heard of this brand, it looks like Nike and Converse (and Pro Keds lol) have something else to worry about with all the other new sneaker brands that have emerged over the past 5-6 years.

Do you guys remember a time when if it wasn’t a major brand, you were practically laughed out of school? I will never forget that time I wore E-Tonics…

Anyway, this sneaker looks like a cross between Nike Air Force One, Converse Chucks and Pro Keds somethings with that very now retro look… but in a good way.

If you got major coins to buy a 90 dollar sneaker that dares to call itself a Hockey Boot Puffer and want to be the first on the block to be fly in something different… well here you go!
