Six years ago today, Aaliyah Dana Haughton, Anthony Dodd, Eric Foreman, Scott Gallin, Keeth Wallace, Gina Smith, Douglas Kratz, Christopher Maldonado, and Luis Morales died tragically in a plane crash.
Concrete Loop did a very nice post on Aaliyah. They also posted some of her songs. I highly suggest you head over there to see more.

They are Spiz’ikes, they are representing Brooklyn, the whole 40 Acres and a Mule idea was born in Brooklyn, Do the Right Thing was set (and I think made… not sure) in Brooklyn, both Spike Lee and Micheal Jordan were born in Brooklyn, these are the most detailed Spizikes out of the whole group… I can’t think of anything else at the moment.

Yes ladies and gentlemen. Walk around the streets of NYC for a day and guess what you will continue to see in t-shirt form? You will see a few Brooklyn shirts (especially if your in Brooklyn) and large amounts of “I Love (Heart) NY” in multiple base colors.
Pink, blue, white, yellow, orange, purple, sky blue… haven’t seen many black ones though.
I don’t know if this will last into next summer, but I do know this; It will last until at least the winter. So the people going Back To School (Pack) and those who will be going to the Caribbean Day Parade (sometimes called the Labor Day parade but technically the Labor Day Parade is held on a different day and its done by the Unions and Labor groups) might wanna get 1 or 2 tees.

While I would not say this song is along the same level as Nelly’s Air Force Ones video and song or Kayne West, Nas, Rakim, KRS-One song called Classic aka Better Than I’ve Ever Been… its still catchy. I know it will make a great ring tone, no problem.
Nevertheless, the song disturbs me a little… even though its about sneakers, I just want more man. Where is the lyrical content over here?

This is nice. I really can’t tell what sneaker he is wearing from the pictures on the site, but since they said its from 1993 dunk contest, I’m gonna guess it was the Air Jordan VII. I REALLY have no idea which colorway it is other than the fact that the color white is in it LOL. I doubt that these ar Air Jordan VIII because the new style usually don’t come out until the end of the year/season. So the VII would have been worn for most of 1993 until at least the 1994 playoffs.
Well that’s my opinion. Anybody think otherwise (or actually bought this thing and can see what he is wearing up close and personal) , please feel free to post something.

I saw this on a few sneaker sites, including Sneakerfiles (release date Fall/Holiday season 2007). The only reason why I am posting a link to this sneaker shoe store is because a couple of sites posted links to it. I have no idea if its a place to trust or not.
Me personally, I would wait until it comes out in a regular store like Finishline or Eastbay. I guess there are some other places that seem to garner the sneaker communities trust, but I have to invesigate them first.
At any rate, these sneakers are bangin!!! I did not like them when they first came out many many moons ago AND I didn’t understand why so many people did like it. Looking back, i see that these sneakers seem to actually have a real style to them. Especially the Godzilla look. It really carries through in the design of the sneaker. I can’t deny that they are designed well.
It still not me though… not with my size 12 foot (13 in some sneakers or causal footwear depending on the cut). . Nevertheless, I figure that if you didn’t know about it, well now you know about it. The story came out in March of this year so its late news, but hey, its news to me.

Wow… I’m telling you, Pro Keds is really coming up. I think I was wrong earlier about Pro-Keds and Rocawear not being together. It would seem that there are some sneakers with the Rocawear label (although I am not sure if its for 2006-2007). Well, these pair right here amaze me. While my budget for sneakers is busted, I have to say I would really get these if I could.

This is pretty hot! I don’t see allot of people wearing Huarache sneakers around my way, but they are still the coolest sneakers to wear. With people wearing the brightest colors ever seen in NYC (NY usually tends to wear earth tones and grays… bright almost never happens until now) I don’t see any reason not to get these. I read this from Sneakerfiles.com and NiceKicks.com that Jordan himself was wearing an yet unreleased (maybe never released… who knows) pair of Spizikes at Flight School.
With about 60+ comments on Sneakerfiles about the look of the sneaker, I have to say that allot of people have allot to say about the look.
